    I believe this is the type of thing where reparations are legitimate and appropriate. It's much like the rewards that are given to some Native Americans or to Japanese internees. Reparations for slavery, in general, are too broad and vague. Here we know who was damaged and many of their descendants are still alive. We should at least try to make things at least partially right.

    There are still three black people living who were there. They couldn't even get reparations for them.

    They even tried to sanitize the history by removing information about the attack from public libraries. 80% of people in Oklahoma had never heard of it. I would imagine that 99.5% of the rest of the country had never heard about it before now. I never had.

    This was the wealthiest black community in the country before it was wiped out.

    Especially when we see such disparity in home ownership among the black community, those who lost their homes should see reparation. Home ownership passed down could have made a huge difference for their descendants.

    Not only was this critical in the development of quantum theory. It also makes possible the modern solar cell used to convert sunlight to electricity.
