Roger Stone requests new trial,one day after Trump intervention.

The judge asked the questions of the potential jurors. The defense attorney did not.

 

"Claimed"-? Her posts on social media were the essence of the proof here. She was a rabid anti-trumper, and there were many incidences of her remarks that verified it.
No question she was highly biased and lied about it under oath to get onto the jury.

While I haven't reviewed the case evidence, what I have seen sounds like it justified a conviction. It is the question about excessive sentence which smacks of political vindictiveness. People who have been convicted of far more harmful crimes have been given sentences far lighter than Stone, and that along with the discovered bias in the jury should certainly be sufficient for a re-trial.

People should remember that when you allow an injustice against someone out of bias or hate, you are authorizing a kind of behavior that can be applied to anyone- including yourself.

 

Did you miss the one that got herself elected foreman has a marked and distinct history of hating Trump and those associated with him?

 

We live in a different world now. dems are ok with juror bringing bias in the jury box, they believe exercising ones rights is a “delay tactic” now and obstruction. It’s quite scary

It doesn't matter what Credico thought. The standard for the crime is objective, and Stone's email fit the standard.

 

Trump didn't intervene. A twitter comment is not an intervention.

All of that is considered to be under oath. If there's reason to believe she purjured herself, then someone should be bringing charges. Forgetting Hart and the other juror people have raised questions about, there were another 10 who found Stone guilty on all seven charges. Unless someone committed actual juror misconduct, I don't know why he would deserve a new trial. And for those who think this is enough to grant a new trial, doesn't that set a precedent for all trials going forward? Libs can only have lib or independent jurors? Conservatives can only have conservative or independent jurors?

 

Nice goalpost move. Last time I checked, making threats counted as committing a crime against another human.

 

So, Roger Stone didn't assault, hurt, or kill anybody or anything? Good to know.

 

K. Can you describe an objective purpose of enforcing penalties for victimless crimes?

 

If she had spoken and written and protested abut you as she did Stone and Trump would you want her on you jury?

 

Conservative, liberal, or independent does not matter and is not the problem. Rabid prejudice and bias -- especially in the forewoman -- is the problem. Falling fruit from a poisonous tree is poisonous and the entire tree must be excluded..

 

The judge will rule on the sentence on Thursday, then if the sentence is appealed it will be in the hands of the appeals court.

 

Stone gets off with less than half of the prosecutors recommendation of 7-9 years, as he is sentenced to only 3 years and 4 months jail time.
We can expect Dirty Donald's pardoning of another of his sleaze balls shortly??

 

Were you not crying for a "fair" trial when Trump was on trial, but now you don't seem to believe in fair trials. I get it.

 

He had a fair trial with witnesses and documentation!!!Why did you heart that those necessary trial items were denied him during his trial???

 

Apparently the Mueller team lawyers were drastically off with their recommendation. The Judge was clearly seeing things the way Barr and Trump were...with that said, as far as a pardon....maybe, or maybe just a commune of the sentence...we'll have to see what happens on Appeal. There is certainly some issues that need to be address in regards to the jury misconduct
