If someone organised these women to say these things, how would we know? How many court cases were won because someone lied on the stand, we don't really know. Would you want everyone who is simply accused of something to step down from office? It would be so easy to remove an elected official you don't like simply by accusations.

Well that's fine as long as the GOP drop the holier-than-thou moralizing going forward. Remember, a number of GOP elected officials are on record as saying they'd vote for Moore even if it were proven he'd molested the 14 year old. They can't walk that back but who cares if that's what the majority want in the new style GOP-land?

You realize they've lost any and all credibility in that department now right?

That "morality" thing used to be one of their biggest selling points but it's all totally laughable now.

And all to overturn the ACA and enact a tax "cut" to funnel even more cash to their billionaire donors (admitted on file by a GOP Rep.) neither of which seems to be an outrageous success as of now.

Yes - this election will show the degree of commitment to moral values and the law in Alabama.

He's not in office yet. I, for one, wouldn't vote for someone who has an unhealthy interest in children. But I understand there are many Republicans in Alabama who would.

I know that this post is pointless because you're so far down the rabbit hole of defending a potential pedophile that you'll twist whatever you need to make it work, but...

We would know if these women were "organized" by the amount of people involved (the larger, the harder), the paper trail (one person flipping brings it all down), and the consistency and verifiable details contained in each story.

And seriously, there are dozens of witnesses involved at this point.

I am not bringing this up to defend Moore. I am bringing this up to try and change the direction all of this is headed. No one should ever be forced to step down or quit running for public office simply because of an accusation or many accusations. It should never be that easy to ruin anyone's life just by accusing them of something. None of it should be able to destroy anyone unless it is proven legally. Not even teachers in a school should have their lives destroyed just because of an accusation or even a person holding the highest office. Proof should always be the standard and proof is not really proof unless it is supported in a court of law with conviction as the outcome.

That is your right and I am in Arkansas and cannot vote in Alabama but I might vote for someone who is accused of something until he is convicted of something. Accusations are not convictions or even proof of guilt.

It's not at all easy to bring down a politician over being a sexual predator.

Trump BRAGGED about it on video tape and it didn't bring him down.

Reporting these crimes is highly difficult today. And if it is a person of power, there is a very real chance of being sued.

In the case of Moore, there are many direct accusers who have been repeatedly questioned. And, there are a good number of others who have attested to his behavior.

I'm left wondering what the heck you would consider to be proof.

Our courts are not constructed to handle crimes and behaviors such as those of Moore.

    Read the Constitution some day.

Article 4, Section 1, Full Faith & Credit Clause.

Of course only a gay Lib-Com could get away with writing an article like this for their biased newspapers.

I wish they would run articles like this:

Hillary Stands with her fetus-ripping supporters.

Bernie Stands with his Commie Flag waving supporters.

Obama Stands with his Black Supremacist BLM supporters.

    Good answer.

My understanding is that there were at least 4 cases based on Article 4 that were working their way through the courts in case the 14th amendment argument was rejected by the supremes.

With that, the several states that do marry same sex couples would cause nation wide change in reasonably short amount of time. I doubt states could refuse to marry their own citizens while honoring the marriages of those married in other states.

What I am saying is we should never get to the point to where all it would take to remove someone is an accusation and that is what I am hearing from many on the left.

    Sure.

In the case of Moore, there are at least 15 who have come out as victims or witnesses.

In the case of Trump, he's on tape bragging about it. And, he's working to make it harder for victims to come forward!

Oh man. What a **** analogy. But just to drive it home...

What is the pro-abortion equivalent of denouncing "gay terrorism?" Is it, "my body, my choice?"

What is the socialist equivalent of saying "gay marriage is fake?" Is it, "no more tax cuts for corporations?"

How about the BLM equivalent of, "LGBT mafia?" Is it, "hands up, don't shoot?"

Not every allegation made by every accuser is true in every case, should everybody who is accused be removed or step down because of the accusation? Should we require every person who is accused to step down because they are accused and before anything is proven?

I sure hope you aren't a defense attorney.

Dozens of witnesses, yet I only hear the one, the 14 year old was under the age of consent and he didn't have sexual relations with any of the others. We already have proof of a false accusation, time will tell if the 14 year old is added to that list.

What is this "proven" you keep talking about???

And, you again said "the accusation", but there are numerous individuals accusing Moore or otherwise corroborating reports of his behavior as a sexual predator.

The direction in which this needs to be headed is toward putting an end to the behavior - sexual harassment, etc.obviously. That requires a clear and easy path for complainants. Today, that path is seriously difficult, as the victim is faced with significant further harassment.

So, today we see guys like you call for ignoring the evidence, even when the perp is applying for one of the highest offices in our nation!

If you want this handled by a court, you need to propose how that would happen - including how it would happen in a timely fashion.

BTW: Having Moore not be a Senator does not "ruin" his life. There are lots of people who don't get to be high federal officials. And, Moore in particular showed no concern for following our constitution - to the point that he lost his judgeship.

In general, find someone of moral fiber to back. All your tears and effort for Moore is just plain disgusting.

The same way the consistent stories of Moore's obsession with teenage girls when he was in his thirties was exposed: By investigating.

Is there any evidence they were all paid? Can any other common ulterior motive be shown? Are they all disciples of a Luther Strange cult?

Did all women solicited by an imaginary organizer to repeat consistent, corroborative information to reporters who approached them agree to be part of the imaginary conspiracy, or were there any who refused?

Can an incentive for all of them to lie that is greater than Moore's obvious incentive to lie be shown?

If their minds are all being controlled by mischievous entities from the planet Kolob, how would we know?

It's safe to assume that there has been an intense effort to discredit them all. They have not been discredited.

We must assess relative credibility. When there are multiple accusers who consistently recount an individual's disturbing behaviour, can they all be shown to be engaging in a coordinated conspiracy and have a greater incentive to lie that does the politician?

You miss my point, we should not force people to step down simply because of accusations, that is the point. It is not just about Moore but anyone who is accused should not have to step down until something has been proven.

It is possible it could happen though. So no one should be required to step down simply because they are accused of something.

I said this is not for Moore but people should not be required to step down just because they are accused of something.
