It is being reported that some Russian soldiers dug in, in highly contaminated soil near Chernobyl. When they started getting radiation sickness they panicked and ran.

    Briefing by Russian Defence Ministry:

Units of the Lugansk People's Republic continue their offensive on the outskirts of Severodonetsk, advancing 2 km deep into the defence of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade. More than 40 Ukrainian brigade personnel, 3 IFVs, 3 vehicles of various purposes and 2 field depots for missile and artillery weapons were destroyed.

The grouping of troops of the Donetsk People's Republic, continuing an offensive, has taken control of part of Novobakhmutovka. They are fighting units of 25th Ukrainian Airborne Brigade on the outskirts of Novoselovka II. During the day, more than 50 nationalists, 1 tank, 4 IFVs, 1 field ammunition depot and 1 fuel convoy of five vehicles were destroyed.

During the day, operational-tactical and army aviation hit 28 military assets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Among them: 4 command posts, 3 field depots of missile and artillery weapons, as well as 6 areas of military equipment concentration.

Russian air defence means have shot down 1 Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter 30 kilometres west of Izyum city and 4 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Tamarino, Lisichansk and Volnovakha.

This article digs into how powerful the Russian Army is at defending their homeland, yet, historically inept at projecting power beyond their borders.

History Should Be Our Guide in Ukraine.

This might have came from Russian ministry of defense. I remember seeing them claim shutting down more Ukrainian fighter jets than they ever had.
There are a couple of questionable areas, like why would Ukraine send fuel convoy, if defensive positions don’t require much fuel. Or, how would a damaged chopper make it 20 km off shore, and why would it even go there. This briefing looks like a poor attempt at copying widely-followed briefings by Ukrainian defense.

I'll defer to your judgment, but without a link it's just typed words.

I’m seeing news of a fuel depot in Russian Belgorod being on fire now.
Man, that town has seen a lot of weird accidents lately, don’t you think?

NATO is a force for tyranny and "the reputation of America" is one of treachery. For the world to be free and Democratic, Julian Assange must be set free, NATO must be eliminated and the US system of governing must be destroyed or limited to its own shores. If Americans are too stupid to see what is going on in their own house then let them keep it ..... just get them out of my world.

I think you are misunderstanding Russian claims. Russia is SO GOOD at shooting down drones that it is actually shooting them down before they even leave the production lines in Turkey!!! I read that on a Greek News website, so it much be true. ;) That is how good the Russians are.

I wouldn't worry. You seem to be off your own 'unique' little world somewhat distant from the rest of us. I don't think the US is going to be a problem.

The US is a problem all over the world and ........ the CIA murdered our greatest peace-loving, Democratic politician and it has specifically involved my "own 'unique' little world" recently. The US is a big problem and has been a big problem since the 1950s.

Take the war deep into Russia. Cruise missiles can hit Russian cities with ease, especially Moscow.
I suggest Ukraine set up a buffer state on the Russian side of the border to protect Ukrainians living
    there.

When the Generals at the front literally have no more resources to throw at the Ukrainians and video starts emerging on the internet of the wholesale collapse of the Russian offensive. Or perhaps just before that happens when they realize it's either 'tell the truth ' or be 'disappeared' for not doing so earlier.

I'd prefer to treat Russia the way it intended to treat postwar Germany (minus the mass arrests etc.). Disarm it and de-industrialize it. The peasants can farm & make cheap consumer goods. Then break Russia up the way Russians here want to break Ukraine up. Give St Petersburg & surrounds back to the Swedes, let the Finns have everything up to Arkhangelsk, let the Chechens have everything up to Volgograd and break the rest up into little republics who have to beg their neigbours to be nice to them.

For the first time in centuries Europe, the Caucases & Central Asia would be free of the cancer that is Russia. Obviously it will never happen, but it would make the world an immeasurably better place.

I imagine their morale will be spectacularly high once they come up against motivated Ukrainian forces after spending time in this luxurious harbour area holiday facility......poor bastards are probably already dead...
