CBS News visited the facility just north of the mall, however, and found an asphalt factory. We met Mykola Danyleiko, chairman of the board for the Kredmash Road Machinery Plant, which mixes asphalt to pave roads.

"It's fake," he told CBS News of the Russian claims. "They said we send products from here by railroad. Do you see a railroad?"


The cement plant was hit by a missile on Monday, too, but there was no railway there.

Turkey Backs Sweden, Finland NATO Bids. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced Tuesday that Turkey has lifted its veto over Sweden and Finland’s bids for NATO membership. Turkey backed their bids after Sweden and Finland agreed to increase work on Turkish extradition requests for suspected militants and lift bans on arms sales to Ankara. Turkey has already asked for the extradition of 33 “terror” suspects from Sweden and Finland. The agreement came at a NATO summit in Madrid, where alliance members are expected to extend an official invitation to the Nordic countries. The accession process may take up to a year.
