We'll see. Time is the most honest person. For example, if you recall the comments a few years ago, many on this forum assured that Russia is weak .... and other such nonsense - but the reality is somewhat different. Is not it?

Russia has overwhelming numbers compared to Zalensky... sad but true. It won't take long for Russia to overwhelm Ukraine.

I think Moldova. There is a similar conflict in Transnistria.

Ah-so? You think it's Putin who's "initiating a large-scale, bloody conflict", eh? :alcoholic:

I don't usually comment about creative writing here. I took a couple of classes in college though. Destroyer, you need to work on developing your characters and keeping the plotlines plausible.

Russia doesn't need, nor should it entertain any idea of a land invasion of (western) Ukraine, much less anywhere else. The real power and sway of the American empire rests on other things, mostly its control of the world's financial system as well as the legitimacy it has claimed for itself to act as the world's hegemon. Gone are the days when there was even a pretense of an ideological component to its hegemonic behavior. The actions the Russians should take to thwart US/Western moves for now are the ones I have listed.

How many years have the Rothschilds, the American Military-Industrial Complex and American business oligarchs been ruling? More than 20? Yeah, I think so.

And I have no problem with that. Because I'm not demanding others go and 'so something' about the situation in Ukraine. First rule of such things. If your not prepared to do it yourself, don't demand others do 'it' for you.

Don't worry. You just sit there. Others will do what you are unwilling to do. There have always been enough folks to care, even if you don't.

You realize the US is going to experience more economic penalties because of Russian sanctions than Russia is going to experience because of Russian sanctions? Who was the moron who decided to make the US energy dependent?...,With Russia as one of the main suppliers of petroleum to the world?

    KYIV, July 18, 2021, 08:40 — REGNUM

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) “summoned” Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu for questioning in order to hand him a “written suspicion” and conduct “procedural actions” with him. Information about this was published by the Ukrainian edition of Glavkom.

Oh, in vain they are - It seems that Shoigu did come.

You realize that Trump treating Putin fairly doesn't make Trump a Putin-puppet?? If that were the case, I know of a lot of Xi-puppets in American government.

Yes, and some say better to die on your feet than live on your knees. Nevertheless a little pragmatism never hurt either.

Also, if this attack is completely unjustified why aren't the US and NATO right in there repelling the "evil invaders"? For sure European leaders and US leaders know more than matches their rhetoric.

There's two sides to the story and we are not getting the whole picture from anywhere.

I have no interest in your english comprehension or your word games. You have made your position clear, and it is in favour of Russia invading Ukraine.

Did you have nothing better than Ad Hom Fallacy -- demonizing posters on the basis of some propaganda label you made up.

but .. while on the topic of "Kill the Infidel" Do you think this is the US mentality ?

Hard to say - way too early to call- only the opening moves on the chessboard been played so far .. your certainty on how the endgame will turn out methinks is way too presumptuous .. perhaps a reflection of wishful thinking.

One thing we can say is that Putin has obviously engaged in a deep think prior to making this move - and that his previous moves on the board over his tenure have been that of a strong player. Same with China. The US .. Not so much - more of a blunder fest.

What could Biden and/or the US have done differently?
