These tech companies and tech workers were leaving the big West Coast cities because they are overcrowded, ridiculously high cost of living, unaffordable housing prices, and to top it all off have big and very unsightly homelessness and drug addict problems.

They want to move to a trendy area with a big city feel, but most of these places are already taken. That pretty much leaves Texas.

The big businesses, even the progressive tech companies, like the business environment in Texas, fewer regulations, a lower tax rate, and something else not often considered, a totally different attitude on legal liability.

 

That is so cute that you think they give a **** about their employees!

Also I think it unlikely conservative Texas women will be marrying progressive men in big numbers. More likely many of these nerdy tech workers who move to Texas will end up alone.

They might meet a wife somewhere else and bring her to Texas.

The point is, there isn't going to be a lot of casual sex going on, except within a marriage.

The abortion law in Texas shouldn't inconvenience anyone too much. Just to put things in perspective.

 

I have, one of the most beautiful cities in the country, but the cost of living is though the roof and real estate prices are out of control.

Just trying to find a place to rent for 3 months for our son was a pain in the ass due to the shortage of housing there
