Just like other groups supporting their political positions.

Of course groups and lobbyist use money as a means of influence. No surprise.

None at all it is how most of us petition for redress in this country, through some group we support that can put together the money to hire an agency in DC which knows how to get your interest presented and submitted and help you make your case.

I never cared for PBR.Mostly because it was not popular at my
College { Dayton U. } which was true to form as being rated my
senior year in high school by Playboy Magazine as The best Party
college in America.Funny since it was a Catholic University.
    But luckily I got in because my high schools { Catholic Prep school}
Athletic director and very successful Football Coach graduated Dayton.
I tried to get into Notre Dame { run by the same Holy Cross brothers
as my high school } but my grades and SAT weren't ALL That.
I think around 8 kids from my high school with a graduating class of
    72 got into Notre Dame.
About 8 kids from my class also got into the University of Dayton.
Beer and pot were widely used in the dorms. In fact, hardly any
kid dint.Except of course my straight-arrow roommate.
Who was as straight as could be and totally dedicated to studying.
    And Playing basketball.
The Beers of influence on campus were Genesee and
of course Budweiser.Plus Rolling rock and for those of most
modest means Iron City. Also stuff from Ohio like Little Kings
cream ale.I remember when Budweiser offered their first and
only Malt Liquor.I was a Frosh and got a 6-pack.I drank 4 and
my steady girlfriend drank 2.She was drunk off her ass and my
head was spinning,I never had that happen before with only a
    few beer.

It was the deranged conservative mindless California NRA and Reagan who demanded and supported the Mulford Act which took away guns from that state's citizens. Hypocrisy much??

LOL. So why did it endorse the Mulford Act - because it targeted law abiding blacks who wanted to defend themselves from government tyranny???

I remember Rolling Rock, the Coors of the east coast. There was a time like back during the 60's and 70's Coors was only distributed in 11 western states.

PBR, Hamms, Lucky Larger, Eastside and dozens of others were all good beers until the late 60's or early 70's when the only thing that mattered was the bottom line and they all went to a cheaper process of brewing beer like Budweiser artificially carbonating their beer.

Au Contrare. The language of the bill certainly is and has already lost it's first court battle with the NRA. The city attempts to punish contractors if they have any association with the NRA and that is illegal viewpoint discrimination. The wording of the resolution is basically trying to punish free speech.

They will get a spanking in court.
