As a born and raised Catholic myself I have to agree with you. The Protestants have a much more sensible approach to life than the Catholics. Not that I agree with Protestantism but they make more sense than the Catholics. I formally denounced the Catholic Church many years ago and I have papers to prove it signed by the Burgermeister and Bishop of Berlin.

no muslim in those countries is going take a poll answering in anyway that conflicts with the official religious law....whether by phone, online or face to face polls they'll tell the questioner exactly what they want to hear because they don't know who is asking the question...I have muslim friend from Iran he's said to me 'I'm an atheist here but when I go back to Iran to visit family I'm the best Muslim I can be, I'd be killed for becoming an atheist.

Well, the protestants certainly had an approach that more closely followed the doctrine of the bible.

 

In my view a Christian is anyone who identifies themselves as a Christian. Whether they are following Christian doctrine is a separate question. David Koresh was a Christian who told all his followers he was Jesus Christ and therefore the only man in the compound who got to have sex with the women. I don't blame Christianity for the product of the delusional mind of David Koresh.

But he is rejected by all Christian sects and churches.

I grew up a in a protestant family, devoted to the church, and there were certain requirements to be a Christian,

Muslims are human beings, there is good and bad in all of them.
They are victims also, at the mercy of the religion they were forced into from birth.
All Muslims are not bad.
All Islam is bad,
so it will bring out a higher percentage who will actually follow the teachings.

Christianity has it's share of nutters, however when we point out the offenses.

We had 2 abortion clinic bombings in the last 20 years, by Christians who were condemned by the church.
We had over 34,000 muslim terror attacks in the same time period, most had multiple casualties.
Also in many of these, they are paid cash to family members, declared a martyr, and praised by the religion.
