To keep your registration current, as I said Why should the state retain your registration when you don't vote? If the state did not give you fair warning, you might be right. But it does. Rights have responsibilities; one of your responsibilities as a voter is to keep your registration current.
It just keeps the system cleaner, you can't miss 3 in a row, 6 years to get kicked off. Agreed the two party system is a dictatorship, and **** the national elections don't fill in any boxes, but you got to vote your local stuff. mayor, millage, police chief, school board state and local law whatever that's the stuff that will most directly affect your life.
Why should the state rescind your registration for not voting? Maybe I disliked all the candidates. That's no reason to take you right to vote, which taking away your registration in essence does.
It has no reason to believe that your registration is valid. Rights have responsibilities; one of your responsibilities as a voter is to keep your registration current.
The Dead vote in every election. "CBS2 compared millions of voting records from the California Secretary of State’s office with death records from the Social Security Administration and found hundreds of so-called dead voters. Specifically, 265 in Southern California and a vast majority of them, 215, in Los Angeles County alone." CBS2 Investigation Uncovers Votes Being Cast From Grave Year After Year, Filed Under: Ballot, CBS2 Investigation, David Goldstein, Dead Voters, Votes, May 23, 2016 11:20 PM By David Goldstein. http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2016...-votes-being-cast-from-grave-year-after-year/
Also now you can request to have the voting registration stuff mailed to your home online. You can go online at the SOS make the request and they will mail you the form. You still need to supply copies of ID and mail it back and they will send you the registration card back. In Ohio you can register 100% online. I had to go on my state SOS site as I needed a duplicate title for a 4-wheeler I was selling and I bet a popup window showed up 3 times asking If I was registered to vote or if I wanted too.
It has no reason to thinks it's not valid as well, and why make it harder to keep your registration valid? There is only one reason and it's why this is a GOP bill. It disenfranchises minorities and the poor disportionately. This fact has been corroborated by republicans many times.
I didn't claim anything. Perhaps you should read my post again. It was a question...that should have been your first clue.
I'm proud of you for sticking to your talking points and not allowing yourself to be draw into a position where you must present independent thought. Well done.
Ok it was a question. A rhetorical one. You were suggesting that this has happened. Your question obviously is suggesting that the dead in Chicago had voted. I'd like some proof of this. I'm not saying it hasn't happened. Don't play coy as if it wasn't a suggestive question.
You're the one who seems to be in need of further information. Go find it. I made that search and found plenty of evidence for dead voters
You were the one that made the claim. As I said before, the onus is on you. That's how claims work. Just making a statement without facts to back is up is weak sauce. I'm not saying what you said isn't true. But I'm not taking a homework assignment from some guy on the internet.
When you make a claim(or intimate something has happened) without backing it up with a source it is bad form. Its a pretty common rule in forums like this. I will assume that you have no idea what you are talking about. I suspected as much before.
