Nope Gingrich and Kasich, Clinton requested higher spending than Congress authorized even when the Democrats were running it. Then he opposed the the tax rate cuts which helped get revenue growth back on track and welfare reform which got people back into the workforce.

Yep they handed the Democrats a paltry $161B deficit in 2007. Where was it two years later? $1,400B.

"Under Bush"? Under Reid and Pelosi. Are you still trying to claim Bush could have and should have vetoed the 2009 budget?

Passed their Omnibus spending bills and while Bush was able to hold down some of their spending increases for 2008 they cut him out for 2009.

"In FY2009, Congress did not complete work by September 30, 2008. President Bush did sign some appropriations bills and a continuing resolution to keep the government running into President Obama’s first term, yet a Democrat controlled Congress purposely held off on the big spending portions of the appropriations bills until Obama took office. They did so for the purposes of jacking up spending. President Obama signed the final FY2009 spending bills on March 11, 2009.
The Democrats purposely held off on the appropriations process because they hoped they could come into 2009 with a new Democrat-friendly Congress and a President who would sign bloated spending bills. Remember, President Obama was in the Senate when these bills were crafted and he was part of this process to craft bloated spending bills. CQ reported that “in delaying the nine remaining bills until 2009, Democrats gambled that they would come out of the November 2008 elections with bigger majorities in both chambers and a Democrat in the White House who would support more funding for domestic programs.” And they did.
The Truth about President Obama's Skyrocketing Spending
"Unlike last year, when Bush forced Democrats to accept lower spending figures, this year could prove more difficult for the president. The fiscal year begins Oct. 1, less than four months before he leaves office.
"He doesn't have us over a barrel this year, because either a President Clinton or a President Obama will have to deal with us next year," said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. "We are not going to be held hostage to the unreasonableness of this president."
Much of the president's plan has little chance of passage, lawmakers and budget experts say. Nearly $200 billion in Medicare and Medicaid savings need congressional approval, which Democrats are unlikely to provide. "Dead on arrival," vowed Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.

    Yes refute it

Bush and the Republicans handed the Democrats a strong eeconomy with a 4.5% unemployment rate with average LFPR exploding tax revenue growth at 15% and falling deficits down to $161B a year before the recession.

And thanks again for showing how two years later the Democrats had screwed things up.

    Please keep proving my points.

As expected you could not refute what I posted.

I have no idea. That the best you got?

Here is what bi-partisan and nonpartisan sources say:

Don't need estimates we have the facts. The stimulus was supposed to keep unemployment to 8% for one quarter. Instead it shot to 10% and stayed over 9% for the next three years. It was an utter failure to accomplish what was claimed it would have and we had the worst unemployment in modern history.

No I see how you cherry pick your numbers what happened to FY's 2008 and 2009? You know when the Democrats increased spending 10% and then 20%.

Did you really think you could get away with that?

Ahhhhh I have never claimed the Democrats CAUSED the recession why do you make such a fallacious claim? Who's being intellectually dishonest here with you're trying to put words in my mouth and your cherry picking numbers ignoring the history?

Why did you misrepresent my post by cutting out the question?

Did you think I wouldn't notice you dodge attempt?

Quit dodging like you always do when you are asked to defend your BS claims. Answer the question.

I did answer with cites to back it up, why did you cherry pick your numbers and try to put words in my mouth?

Answer my question to your claim about Bush, how could he have vetoed the Democrats 2009 budget which resulted in their $1,400B deficit just two years after the last Republican deficit of just $161B?

    You said this

Bush and the Republicans handed the Democrats a strong economy with a 4.5% unemployment rate with average LFPR exploding tax revenue growth at 15% and falling deficits down to $161B a year before the recession.

was nonsense, well then refute it.

That was his rather communistic plan. His stooges made it, he signed it. Get over it.
It happened when he was at the helm. He could have left, but he went on.
All his choices, all his fault.

No it wasn't it was the Democrats plan, don't try to tell me you support government shutdowns. Do you realize how really laughable it is to assert that after 12 years the Democrats FINALLY take back the Congress and you are claiming the bowed down to Bush and rubbers stamped his plans. BTW when it was his plans we got through a recession and into a full recovery and had 52 months for full or nearly full employment with average labor force participation rates, rising incomes, SOARING tax revenues and a paltry $161B deficit. We needed MORE of those plans not the Democrats plans.
