It looks like Dr. King's dreams are not materializing as he had hoped. It appears that we remain a very segregated society........with three quarters of Whites having no non-White friends...........with blacks not far behind:

Why do you think this is......nearly 50 years after the assassination of MLK?

 

I keep hearing how liberals are the ones always bringing up race.....

 

Do you have any thoughts on the findings in the article.......or are you just trolling again today........how many non-White friends do you have?

 

I don't count my friends based upon the amount of melanin they have.

 

That would indicate that many of the race-baiting liberal retards don't associate with the very black people they pretend to care so much about.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the very posters on this forum with screen names along the lines of "BadAssBlackMotherF-er" not only aren't themselves black, but don't even have any black friends.

The study seems flawed to me, they didn't ask about friends directly, this is how they determined friends:

"From time to time, most people discuss important matters with other people. Looking back over the last six months-(*)who are the people with whom you discussed matters important to you?"

In this study someone can't be a friend unless you discuss important matters. They limited it to 7 "friends", with 4 of the possibilities being spouse, parent, sibling, and child.

 

Damn! What an absolute failure of a comeback. You probably are part of the 75% there Mr. I don't judge people by the melanin levels.

Perhaps you should just stick to ranting about Jim Crow laws that probably less than 10% of the black population have even heard of.

A similar survey showed that only a quarter of white Britons have ethnic minority friends and a cultural barrier may be hard to overcome. But the majority of Europeans descended from the Indo-Europeans who started migrating to Europe around 100,000 years ago from the northern part of India and British Asians from India and Pakistan share the same haplogroup called R1a-M17 with Eastern Europeans as a result.

 

Just because you can't see the humor in your all but admitting that you have no black friends given the positions you take on this forum doesn't mean it isn't funny.

You actually being under the impression that you somehow get to decide what is and what isn't humorous certainly indicates a detachment from reality.

 

To that I say so what? I had black friends as a kid and in college. I work with black people daily so I have friendly colleagues. Close real friends who are black? Nope. And why should I? Are we supposed to institute AA with our friends now? Should I feel guilty? Not in the slightest.

I have about the same number of black friends as I do conservative ones, that is to say, none. I don't have any black friends (that I know are black, anyone can be anything on the Internet) because there are really very few blacks in my area and I have very little in common with the ones that are. I don't have any native Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, or Finnish friends (that I know of) either. Does that mean I hate Native Eastern Europeans or just that I have never met one?

 

So now whites have to be forced to take black person as a friends?

And people wonder why some people are hsotile to whites.

Why? America was making great headway in race relations until 0bama came along.

At this point, neighbors on both sides of me are black. Really black. My best friend is half black, half Indian.

But with the advent of the biggest racist of all, 0bama, I'm becoming less tolerant. He is exemplifying everything America was quickly moving away from. He is driving us backward.

Define friend. What the poll really speaks to is the increasing atomization of American Private life. How many of us have friends we've never met face to face? How many of us party down with coworkers? How many of us have no social life outside of the internet?
