    And you believe them?

Let’s see Nancy sponsor a bill in the House that would enact a 50% income tax on personal income over $1 million.

Ron, you made my case for me. As I suspected, this Democratic proposal was made at a time when Nancy and her Democrats KNEW it could not be passed by Congress. At the time, the House was controlled by Republicans. John Boehner was the House Speaker.

That’s the game, Ron. That’s the dance. Republicans do it too. Remember all those times Republicans voted to repeal Obamacare when they knew that legislation would not become law? And remember when they DID get control, they could no longer muster the votes?

Now that Democrats have control of both Houses and the White House, what happened to all their talk of taxing the wealthy more?

If the Republicans take control of the House and/or the Senate this year, THAT’S when uber wealthy Democrats like Nancy will once again start talking about raising taxes on the rich.

    That’s the dance.

    Yes. Vote. Them. Out!

They throw out all these crazy ideas, claim they are sensible, demand they be adopted, and there are folks dumb enough to do it. Then when it blows and fails, do they take responsibility?

“Safe streets worker” (replacing police) gunned down in Baltimore.
    They need a Rudy Giuliani

Fake News. It's dead because Dems refused to structure these initiatives in a manner that would appeal to at least 10 Republicans.

If you're having trouble robbing the bank, at least hit a 7-11 for your trouble.

    Um....bullshit.

Machin already said he would support much of it, but not all of it, through Reconciliation. Only needs 51 votes.

So Democrats need to literally cut out the stuff Machin hates, leave the stuff he likes, and they have a deal. No Republican votes needed.

Fake News. All you would have to do is work with the GOP enough to pick up 10 votes, like you did on the first infrastructure bill, but, with this theocratic mindset that has descended on the extremists currently in control of the Left's congressional agenda, compromise is heresy and heretics need to be burned at the stake. That's not the thinking of a large governing majority, that's the thinking of an increasingly bitter and shrinking group being destroyed by infighting, and it's not helping the country.

Funny, Trump and the GOP tried to undue Obamacare with just 51 votes in the Senate.

I fully support fracturing the BBB bill into pieces and trying to pass some of it that way. There's legit infrastructure in it that we need. Cut out all the pork and try again.

...I mean, I know that won't happen, the 'pork' is what our corrupt legislators really need to pass to continue getting their campaign contributions. But in principle, bills need to be smaller and more precise across the board.

The "skinny repeal" made far fewer changes than full repeal, which would have required 60 votes, but they didn't have 60 votes, so they worked on getting less than what they wanted, but, still fell a vote short.
