Senate Republicans issued their first subpoena on Wednesday as part of wide-ranging investigations tied to the Obama administration.

The Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee voted along party lines to issue a subpoena for Blue Star Strategies, a firm with ties to Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), the chairman of the panel, has homed in on the U.S. firm as he probes Hunter Biden's work for Burisma Holdings, where Biden — the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive 2020 Democratic nominee — was a member of the board until he stepped down in 2019.

This subpoena asks for records from Blue Star Strategies. Looking forward to seeing justice served against Joe Biden and his coke snorting son who knocked up a stripper then lied about but DNA tests came back implicating him. He got sued for that.

Thoughts on who is next? Might be Hunter.

Sooo let me get this straight Republicans are issuing this NOW why? This could've/should've been done before right? So why now given 50% of the Us workforce is employed by small businesses who've been wrecked by the Corona virus? This is an amazingly transparent shiney red ball....

Would you prefer that they wait a year to investigate illegalities?

I don't oppose this subpoena at all because I've never opposed an investigation into the Biden's actions, I just want to remind the Republicans here that they scoffed at subpeona's during the impeachment investigation, which was no less serious of an issue than this is, so I hope they will remember that as they celebrate this one.

I'd preferred they'd done it when all that first came out not wait 6 months to deflect from other issues. Do they deserve a pat on the back for doing what they should've done 6 months ago?

You didn't care when the Democrats were playing Peach Mints during the Wuhan Flu's early days.

Joe Biden sold his office of the Vice Presidency to Ukraine, China, and Iraq. His family walked away with over $3 Billion in deals from the three nations with Joe taking the lead. What does China get for their money?

You've got me confused with someone else... look through my posts I said exactly that but that issue has what to do with my question?

Do the Republicans deserve a pat on the back for being 6 months late to do their job? What biden did should've been look into well before now.... That begs the question why now?

Screw it. I wouldn’t debate. Donnie loses a vote every time he opens his mouth these days.

Did you know Blue Star offered to cooperate and said they would speak (they even wrote a letter stating as much) at any given time. The subpoena is another diversion.

The Mueller probe took up a lot of oxygen and Johnson has been working pretty hard on the #ObamaGate stuff with the DNI, now he has time to start this while doing the other tasks as well.

    All in due time.

It seems like a willful misdirect not a genuine attempt to investigate Biden. A genuine attempt to me would've been subpoenas right after it came out that Biden threatened to withhold money that wasn't rightfully his to withhold.

I hope so.... I'm not saying Bidens actions shouldn't be looked into fyi I'm just confused as to why this hadn't already been done and why they aren't focusing on small businesses who've been wrecked by these stay at home orders. 50% of the us workforce is employed by them and a decent percentage won't be able to open up now due to the lockdown. That seems more pressing to me

They can do both. Most of the issues now stem around homeless blocking businesses (which Democrats will do nothing about) and not funding illegals during the pandemic. Democrats (like Pelosi, Schumer) always seem to be on the wrong side of what is best for this country.

How can you open your business when the front entrance is blocked by tents but the city you live in refuses to do anything about it. We used to call it loitering and it was illegal to just stand and block sidewalks and roads. Now we allow people to build camps there with no recourse??? It's crazy and it's killing small business owners.

They will care a lot more if he gets in office and starts to work deals with China that gets him and his family at the expense of American workers.

Democrats running for office have to be held accountable for their past behavior.
