I don't expect either one is true. Nor is she obligated to Grassley.

Obviously the party has decided they want CA sycophant state Sen. Kevin de León in November.

My guess is that what shows up before the Senate Judiciary Committee is a bunch of liberal Democrat lawyers doing their best to put on some kind of bullshit 'dog-and-pony-show'. They won't let Blasey Ford anywhere close to any meeting where she has to provide SWORN testimony....

Just remember (and you can bet Blasey Ford's lawyers are well-aware of this) if she can't PROVE her charges against Kavanaugh, she's in extreme danger of being nailed for LIBEL and SLANDER. She wouldn't be in danger of losing her teaching gig at a hyperliberal college like Palo Alto University, but she might lose everything else, and a substantial part of her salary for years to come if the right kind of judgment went against her in a libel suit.

Unlike Ford, I actually expect to see Kavanaugh stand under oath Monday. We'll see who's afraid of perjuring themselves...

I'm sure they'll let the photos of Ford's empty chair and the implications of her absence go...

Why should he? Senator Grassley isn't some piss-ant, down-the-hall clerk in the Senate Office Building. He's the CHAIRMAN of the Senate Judiciary Committee! He has the RIGHT to DEMAND that the original letter from Blasey Ford is placed on his desk! Again, what is Dianne Feinstein trying to hide?

Sound to me like Diane is worried about the authenticity of the letter.

Why don't you want the committee to see the letter?

I have no doubt his testimony under oath will be no different than his public statements.

She holds a lot of power in the Senate, I wonder who she pissed off.

She refuses to testify, so she's not actually standing by her claim.

Be awesome if he pulled Kavanaugh’s nomination and nominated Amy Barrett.

That would make some flip out and lose their minds.

O and what are they to be investigating exactly? A state law crime who'se statute of limitations has run?
And by the way, when and where did the event happen exactly and who all would have personal knowledge of the party at least as witnesses? Or are they to investigate an alleged attempted rape happening somewhere in maryland at some point during the late 70's early 80's?

You understand the meaningful and nuanced distinction between plaintiffs and defendants in American Jurisprudence, yes?
The burden of proof is always upon an accuser, never upon an accused.
Make an accusation and refuse to testify: You're not credible.

It would put her exact words under the scrutiny of the committee.

she's not a litigant. She's a potential witness who will testify if her allegation is investigated. You do know the difference between a civil suit and a confirmation hearing, don't you?

The FBI does not investigate violations of state law, especially when the accuser cannot specify when, where, or with whom.

I believe that is established in tax laws, generally by Democrats.

Say, why didn't Democrats craft a law demanding if you run for president, you hand over to Government, what it already has (tax returns) so government can try to kill nominations?

They investigate death threats across state lines though.

Stop with your incessant intentional misleading statements. You know the FBI investigates nominees. I'd accuse you of lying, but you might act like a bitch and report me. Not that I'm calling you a name.

Here is the test for Democrats.
    1. Why don't you understand the purpose of the FEC disclosures? Those are law.
    2. Since the majority use either bookkeepers, tax service providers, tax software or accountants, why do they think they will understand tax returns? If they understood them, they would not use providers.
    3. Why can't they disclose what on the tax return is vital for them that is not disclosed by the FEC forms?
    4. Why don't they petition congress to make changes to disclosure laws?

The FBI investigates nominees, but what it cannot investigate is a ghost event, at an unknown location, at an unknown time.

This *thing* getting consideration has officially made the Senate a joke. I mean, I always thought this Congress was the worst Congress in American History but thanks to Feinstein, she managed to lower the bar more.
