Last October, Simon & Schuster, a giant in the publishing industry, announced it would be releasing Senator Josh Hawley’s book titled The Tyranny of Big Tech. As reported by AP News, Hawley had frequently criticized the various social media giants “for everything from alleged anti-conservative bias to monopolistic control of the online market.” As Hawley explained, “At a time when these platforms are determining elections, banning inconvenient political views, lining politicians’ pockets with hundreds of millions of dollars, and addicting our kids to screens, I want to draw attention to the robber barons of the modern era. This is the fight to recover America’s populist democracy. That is why I am writing this book.” Simon & Schuster: We “Cannot Support Senator Hawley” The book was targeted for a June 2021 release date, but on January 7, 2021, one day after the storming of the Capitol, which was also one day after Sen. Hawley called for an investigation into claims of election fraud, Simon & Schuster releasedthis statement:.. … So, a book exposing the tyranny of big tech got canceled because of a knee-jerk reaction to Hawley’s actions on January 6, actions that were neither dangerous nor unpatriotic. And this happened at the same time that President Trump’s Twitter account was being shut down for life, along with many other conservative accounts being purged. Oh, the irony! But the story doesn’t end there. Now a Bestseller On January 18, 2021, Regnery Books, one of the conservative publishing giants, announced that their company would now be publishing the senator’s book, with a release date of May 2021.… https://stream.org/senator-josh-hawley-gets-the-last-laugh-on-cancel-culture/ It is awesome that this great American target of the cancel culture refused to be cancelled. Now his book is coming out sooner and is a best seller. Those who blame him for the episode at the capitol are simply small minded bigots. He was simply following the provisions of the constitution that democrat members of congress did 4 years before.
Hawley is crazy. QAnon worthy. Really sad for such an Ivy League highly educated man. He acts like a little rich frat boy now. At least he has Gaetz to look down on.
He can put them up there with your silly-assed claims that Obama would take all your guns - Obama didn't sign a single bill or legislation restricting guns in eight years. Or we can look at the claims that Obama would destroy the economy - Obama ended up with a better average GDP then Trump, added less to the national debt (Obama added $8.6 trillion in 8 years - Trump added $8.8 trillion in 4 years). Obama left office with a lower unemployment rate than Trump left office with. Obama averaged 12% return on the market for his 8 years.
He sure is not stupid. However, his intelligence is superseded by his ambition and lust for power. He knows exactly what he wants, and he has read the Trumpers perfectly well, so he is giving them what they want to hear. In exchange, he gets donations, people buying his book, and a shot at the GOP nomination for president. These wannabe Trumps are sprouting in the GOP ranks like weeds.
I back up my claims constantly. You obviously missed those posts. Nothing to back up here. Read what he said.
And you don't see the irony that he is TWEETING about his book? Or that the book is being sold on Amazon?
