I have been following the news about the plot to assasinate the Saudi Ambasador to the US and detonate bombs in Argentina, and have been wondering where the outrage is. I have been watching the news the last week, and am amazed at both the language being used, and the fact that nobody seems to even notice it. Senator Carl Levin, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee has even said that this is a serious threat to the US, and may be an act of war. Representative Michael McCaul, who heads the Homeland Security subcommittee also says this may be an act of war. But nobody seems to care. Even Argentina is starting to send some firm language to Tehran, insisting that they answer questions about this latest plot, and 2 earlier attacks on their nation, in 1992 and 1994. I think what I find most amazing is that nobody is talking about these events. None of the "usual suspects" seem to be on TV, either screaming that we should go to war. And oddly enough, I also do not hear any of the typical crazies saying that this is simply a "false flag", providing an excuse to declair war with an oil rich nation. I can't think of any other serious diplomatic incident which has been followed by such a deafening silence.
The nation is broke and tired of war and I think is becoming more amenable to appeasement, regardless of consequences. Short sighted and stupid, yes. But it is what it is. We have a powerful isolationist faction in the right in the form of Ron Paul libertarianism so the right has even lost its stomach for a fight.
I agree, it has been pretty quiet! But no problem, I did read that obama is (or has) put some VERY STRONG sanctions on Iran! Again! I'm SURE it's all better now! You know how those Iranians hate sanctions! ** sarcasm off **
The case has many problems and right now its with the evidence that is not being provided by the government. http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/20...er-an-alleged-terror-plots-b-movie-qualities/ as you can see there are some serious doubters with strong points
