The lesser of two evils is the one who is not a career politician.

Yet there was hypocrisy among them. They created the Bill of Rights, one of the greatest gifts to The People, but several were slave owners. They did not view slaves as human beings.

Therein lies the rub: anyone who is brilliant enough to be a great politician, is too smart to become a politician.

Trump was not a career politician, yet he is clearly unfit for the office.

Not corrupt enough, you mean. Lol! I think most politicians are one step over (or under at times) your average white collar criminal.

Until 1776, almost every person alive was the property of another.

How so? Because he has a "potty mouth?" Because you disagree with some of his decisions? How about some specifics of why he is unfit when we have the leaked emails of the DNC which prove that their thoughts really aren't much different, but they are just less honest about how they really feel about the American people?

That is a sign of those times, and not a sign of those people though. Back in those times, things were different and people were less educated and they really saw other less civilized people as being savages, incapable of learning, etc. You have to understand that before you judge them.

I agree. However, the blame for that lies with we, The People. We have the power to send the scoundrels packing. And, finally, I think we are becoming aware of the scam that has been played upon us for decades.

Ms Clinton said (and I paraphrase): "To be successful in politics, you must maintain both a public, and a private view of the issues." This translates to "Tell the people one thing, but do another." This is exactly the swamp that needs draining, and that task can only be tackled at the ballot box.

The list is long. The guy is out of control, like a bull in a china shop. I'm not going to go through an itemized list because each one is going to invite a separate discussion. For me the most general and severe problem is his kowtowing to billionaires, corporations and the military industrial complex. That is who he represents, not the American people.

Please, take a few minutes and specify why exactly he is unfit. He kowtows no more than Hillary who accepts millions of dollars from these wealthy corporations, meanwhile playing the doublespeak game! She does her business behind closed doors is all!

I think the "bull in the china shop" aspect is perhaps Trump's most positive attribute. We need to tear down the status-quo to identify and route out the scoundrels. All the democrats and half the republicans hate Trump, because he's turning their comfy, corrupt, crony, criminal enterprise on its head. Those who are complaining the loudest are likely the most corrupt. Shumer, McCain, et al. This is painful, but it is what needs to be done.

I think it's working well, once you table all the bullshit the media is stirring up. The most dangerous thing that is happening is the relentless propaganda that is calling the veracity of our electoral process into question. For, when people lose confidence that they can go to the ballot box and peacefully remove those who are not representing their best interests, then they must resort to other means to effect that removal. Those other means were demonstrated on a baseball field in Virginia, a few weeks back. Nobody benefits from that.

Trump is a mouthpiece puppet... I really think he has mental issues. Hes always covering his pathetic ass or pretending to be sincere.
I kind of feel sorry for the man

Of course we should allow mentally ill people to run for government. I mean after all all they have to do is take their meds.

I can't see why not. The principal at my school last year was mentally challenged.

I'm not sure what world you're living in, no offense, but Trump is corrupt to the extreme. Who would expect a corrupt individual who surrounded himself with a corrupt cabinet to drain the infested swamp?

Given the past history, the status quo and the outlook for the future, I beg to differ substantially.

Sorry but I don't need to "prove" anything to anyone. It's up to each individual to determine that for him/herself. For me the facts speak for themselves, it's not even questionable. So that point is definitely not my problem. My problem is that this fool is President and one of the most dangerous fools on the planet.

If facts speak for themselves, then you absolutely can't prove anything. As there are no "facts" and the investigations just started. Unless of course you're saying Obama DID know that Russia was meddling before Trump took office...then Obama is in very big trouble. Other than that, we don't have the facts yet. Unless you have some secret sources.

Well, that's certainly what the 24/7 left-wing propaganda machine, and the corrupt democrats, are pounding relentessly into everyone's heads. Their campaign of fear, uncertainty and doubt has been really, really astonishingly effective. But, for the poster child of "corrupt", look at the DNC and the Clinton cartel. Any actual instance of corruption you can find in the Trump administration pales in comparison.

So, if "corruption in government" is something that genuinely concerns you, and it absolutely should be, then Americans made a great choice, given the options, and given the fact that the ONLY "corruption free" choice (Johnson) had no chance because of the stacked election game.

It isn't even about Russia, although that is also under investigation. Just the fact that he surrounded himself with billionaires and many of his actions so far serves to benefit billionaires, including himself and his family of course. Anyone who believes billionaires have the best interest of ordinary Americans in mind and at heart is completely delusional. Sorry to stomp on Trump supporter toes but it is what it is. BTW, his predecessors were not much different and Hitlery wouldn't have been either.
