It's too bad that there wasn't a realistic way of hide the race and gender of applicants until after they were hired, though I have a suspicion that women and minorities being fired soon after being hired would sky rocket.

When you choose not to be identified as neither a male of female or as white but something else you become one of the PC protected groups that comes with special privileges, special protections, special free stuff and of course affirmative action programs with special protections in the workplace with lower standards when applying for civil service jobs.

Normally it's not only gender that makes an applicant hired most of the time the criteria are knowhow and skills.
Know-how and skills take a back seat ride to government initiated racial or sexual quotas. There's also a lot of employment nepotism or hiring of best friends and lovers in the United States. Meritocracy is one of the greatest myths of the United States, I honestly don't know how anybody takes that gibberish seriously in this country.
