    The BLOTUS's toxic red TIDE was in evidence across the nation as Republicans saw their margins SHRINK from double digits to low single digits much like immersing a male member in ice cold water does.

    Your media hype of "waves" aside, Democrats had a very big election on Tuesday, with a 5-point national congressional margin that allowed them to pick up 32 House seats, to elect a record-breaking 100 women to the House, and to flip six statehouses and seven governors’ mansions. Democrats now occupy nearly half of the 50 governors’ mansions. Democrats won all of the races in the "Blue Wall" states that allowed Donald Trump to win the Electoral College in 2016.

    And the tide rushes in!

    In 2018, 26 seats on the line were held by senators who caucus with the Democrats, and just 9 by Republicans. In the 2020 election, it'll be about 20 Republicans and only 11 Democrats; in 2022, 22 Republicans and only 12 Democrats.

    The "blue wave" didn't crest, but the results bring a sea change to Washington. ... from the 2018 midterm elections. By Cheyenne ... after speaking during an election night party, Tuesday, Nov. 6 …

    Try not confusing that.

    Oh and,

    but Republicans added more seats than expected in the Senate and scored victories in nearly all of the most high-profile races.....snip~

    Plus still have over half of the governorships.

    Then Ohio, Iowa, and Florida. [IMG]

    LMAO.....glad to know why you can't figure out why there will be gridlock.

    But don't worry you will post up how Demos passed legislation only to find out that it dies in the Senate.

    I have not opined concerning your "gridlock", but that won't be a concern after 2020.

    Watch for immediate progress with experienced prosecutor Adam Schiff leading the House Intelligence Committee in exposing the sordid details of Putin's perverting a US election.

    In pandering to an older, white, less-educated base, the RINOs of Trumpery have repulsed well-educated, suburban Americans.

    This comment is significant;

    A movement from 67% to 75%+ tallies with the 10% shift to the LEFT nationwide. Those Dem gains have isolated and marginalized the GOP into a smaller subset of districts. The 2020 Census and redistricting will mean that the GOP either accepts minority status or CHANGES policies and direction in order to ADAPT to the changing voter demographics because otherwise they will never regain those lost districts.

    The electorate!

    They vented their anger at the Dems for the Republican/Libertarian fiscal malfeasance that caused the 2008 economic collapse.

    With all the shenanigans in Florida and Arizona it seems the "Blue Wave" is more of a "Blue Crime Wave".
