Well during that time I moved away from California (good riddance) to the Rocky Mountains (my college home) and for some reason in the meantime I just lost track of PF.

I was googling something the other day and PF came up with my moniker so I tried logging-in and it still worked. So here I am Bebe !!

I remember you live around Dallas or Ft. Worth or thereabouts.

My uncle and aunt while they were still living lived in Irving where the Cowboys used to have a stadium. So I have been there to visit numerous times from Gainesville Fla and from Rock Island ILL and from Ft. Sill OKLA.

 

I did once.....but I had to frisk her first.

Italian-style coffee cuts risk of common cancer by 53%.....


Beviamo! Men who drink Italian style coffee can significantly reduce their likelihood for prostate cancer, according to a new study.
Government researchers in Italy found that three or more cups of coffee prepared the Italian way — that means high pressure, very high water temperature and with no filters — lowered their risk of the common cancer that affects one in seven American men by 53%.

A goaResearchers sought confirmation in the lab by testing the action of coffee extracts — with caffeine and without — on prostate cancer cells.

l of the study, published in the International Journal of Cancer, was to “provide a clearer view” about caffeine and prostate health. A protective effect of the popular drink has already been suggested by some recent studies.

The study observed coffee consumption and prostate cancer rates of 7,000 male residents of Molise, in south-central Italy, for four years. Researchers saw a 53% drop in risk for subjects who drank more than three cups a day.

They are saying its the caffeine and the way it is prepared.


Then researchers sought confirmation by testing the action of coffee extracts on prostate cancer cells in laboratory studies. They tested, in particular, extracts containing caffeine or decaffeinated. Only the first ones significantly reduced cancer cells proliferation, as well as their ability to metastasize. They prepare coffee rigorously Italian way: high pressure, very high water temperature and with no filters. This method, different from those followed in other areas of the world, could lead to a higher concentration of bioactive substances. It will be very interesting, now, to explore this aspect.
