    B.Dylan was a great songwriter but he definitely could not sing.

    Just as bad if not worse than Rod Stewart.

    On the Waterfront is a compelling movie - an unusually blunt depiction of common corruption, coercion and the pressure to submit to entrenched corrupt power.

    All actors are professional phonies - the best ones allow you to suspend your disbelief. Griffith as a pleasant hick always creeps me out. He may be credible as a megalomaniac AH - I will watch Face and see.

    I tend to agree.Since I've been listening to a lot of
    Dylan lately.I go to Barnes & Nobles a couple times a week
    and they have a good selection of CD's and now LP's.
    I have about 5 new Dylan CD's. From his early years.I also
    have a double LP from his '66 Royal Albert Hall performance.
    I,also sometimes feel like ...Hey ... this Guy ain't that great a singer.
    But he did develop a very unique voice { his voice is not that melodic }
    which highly compliments his great lyrics.

    Same old, same old. The world keeps spinning, and they keep throwing elections at us - in the last 4 years we've had 5 sets of elections and a referendum to deal with here, so it's been keeping me busy. Nice to pop in here to relax from time to time, though - makes a change from watching box sets of Supernatural and Buffy!

    Good morning y'all. Lazy Sunday here. After joining my friend at various 'Clear the Shelters' events yesterday, Im worn out. Who knew dog shopping could be such a hassle? Obviously not the 100s of folks who stood in line to get inside the shelters. He didnt find one there, but adopted a puppy at the last shelter after bringing me home. Catahoola-heeler mix. Cant wait to see her! Who doesnt like puppies? :)

    It's going to be a great week! Took my boat and my wife to lake Mohave for a weekend of fun and sun. Air temp was 113, water temp was 80. Something about marinating in the Colorado river cleanses and nourishes your soul.

    Years ago in my wilder days and when tattoos had some significant shock value, I got this ankle tattoo I drew of a solar eclipse. I was blind drunk when I got it.

    Hes a beautiful dog. :)

    Friend didnt get puppy. Too much dog for him, he needs a small dog. There are scams in the dog biz where 'rescuers' snatch up purebreds then 'foster' until theyre ready for adoption. Pay the shelter adoption fee, then sell the dog for $500-3000. They actually advertise Free Puppies For Sale. *woofwoof*
