What was wrong with the image I had?

 

You kinda sounded like you had one too many.
Talk about a 3 martini lunch.

 

Not a drop today, but only because I am waiting for the mechanic to call and tell me my truck is ready to pick up. I don’t drink and drive especially in a company vehicle. But there is a bottle of bourbon staring at me that I will be molesting when I get home.

 

I'm 61years old. Is it too soon for the "plumbing" to start acting up?

Filet Caprese Salad. Beefeater tomatoes, red onions, mozzarella, iceburg wedges, balsamic dressing, filet mignon. Superb.

Pizza for me tonight, lol ... and beer of course. I'm trying something new tonight. It's Widmer Bros Hefe "HopFruit".

It's good! Hoppy without being overwhelmingly hoppy, and the grapefruit twist is light, discernable, but again not overwhelming. At only 4.6% alcohol, very drinkable.

 

Quite nice.But I thought Beefeater tomatoes were a special
treat given they are harvest at the most opportune time of the
year.Usually late summer.
But Live and learn.I put nice large cherry tomatoes {sliced } in with
my lunch salad.
I used to really prefer Filet Mignon over a nice Strip steak.
But I've come across to my old man's way of thinking.
He loved steak.But would never order or Buy Filet Mignon.
I think it was the Impression it was a Lady's style of Steak.
He may be right.But a really good Strip steak has a different
texture which I've come to prefer.But I still buy a lot of
Filet Mignon.I'm a sucker for their juicy tenderness.
Strips are more grainy.More masculine.More chewy ...

Hate to burst ones bubble.But I've come to loathe Beer.
Especially Hoppy and Boutique beer.They are totally,like
fer sure different than Fine Red wine.Worlds apart.
It's like comparing a sandwich of simple baloney and
cheese fixed at some mission with a nice Reuben
prepared at a fine restaurant of Jewish deli.
Like putting a napkin over a serious cut rather than cleaning
and dressing with a tight Band-Aid.

I like a fine red wine as well, for what it's worth. I've got a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, California vintage, in my wine rack that's 42 years old. It was 3 years old when a case of it was given to my wife and I as a wedding present. Now, it's the last remaining bottle. Don't know when we'll open it ...

Trust me.It takes years to appreciate fine wine.It's definatley
an acquired taste.Much more so than beer.
I doubt most any normal human fell in love with beer after the
first sip or can.let alone first 6-pack.It is like Growing pains.

 

I was sitting with my wife while she sipped on her glass of wine, when she said, "I love you so much, you know. I don't know how I could ever live without you."

I said, "Is that you or the wine talking?"

She said, "It's me talking to the wine."




A priest was driving down the road one day when he got stopped by a cop.

The cop smelled alcohol on the priest's breath and saw an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car.

He said to the priest, "Father, have you been drinking?"

The priest replied, "Only water, officer."

The cop then asked him, "Then why can I smell wine?"

I hope the Eagles can be giant killers -- the Patriots here being the aforementioned giants that need killing.

A Priest has the best excuse imagimable.As an Alter boy one
of the duties is to bring the small bottles { One with Wine and
one with Water } so the Priest can bless and then put in his
extravagant Silver chalice to symbolize the Offertory part of the Mass.
Which begins the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Yes,the Priest drinks what he adds.Some Priests
add just a douse of water after dispensing the Wine.
So now you know the rest of the story.
The Divinity of Christ who humbled himself to share
in our Humanity.
Kinda like what President Trump is doing,only with slight
deviation.Given he don't touch the stuff { alcohol }.

I broke down and bought a single layer white cake with green & white icing and an NFL plastic ring in the middle. And im fixing chili dogs and queso for supper. But as far as the game goes, Im in it for the commercials. Budweiser has a cute one with a donkey who wants to be a Clydesdale.

 

Alright people of the Strange brews.....who wants to take the next round of Shoveling the snow. Only 3-5 inches today.

The most accurate (and concise) summation of the Super Bowl happened prior to number VI (6 for you non-Romans). When a reporter was badgering him for not being sufficiently excited and in awe of The Big Game Dallas running back Duane Thomas asked, "If it's the ultimate game, how come they're playing it again next year?"
