    Most move adjustments are just culture shock.

    This takes about 6 months to get over.

    Eventually you start to like the new place and hate the old place.

    That's what moving to the Rocky Mountains from California was like for me.

    At first 6 months of getting used to the local yokels.

    Finally I began to love it here.

    That looks like a very good breakfast !!

    I think I'll make some bacon and egg tortillas.

    All the alcohol from Friday night has now worn off and I am hungry again.

    Thanks Daisy.....although its not a new place or area I am going to. One I lived in before. On top of that I am moving in with my younger brother who took over my mothers condo. No choice in the matter. I will have to live there until I can get my own house again.

    I don't really have a recipe. The brine is one cup distilled water, one cup vinegar, one tablespoon of salt. I use one teaspoon of pickling spice, a teaspoon of garlic a quarter teaspoon of mustard seed and a quarter teaspoon of celery seed. And a sprig or two of fresh dill.This will make a quart or so of pickles. They are refrigerator pickles so I heat nothing. I put the spices in the bottom of the quart jars and then stuff the spears in. Then cover with brine and place in fridge. Ready in a couple of days. I have also canned some dill slices using the same recipe with a quarter teaspoon of calcium chloride. The brine was brought to a boil, spices and dill placed in jar, pickles added, then boiling brine. And boiling water packed. I don't know how these will come out....they don't look bad.

    Oh, by the way. F2 tornado in B-ham and good wind here. Corn stayed up...lot of sunflowers blew down. Got a lot of water.

    For breakfast this morning I am having real orange juice with my bacon, eggs, and tortilla wraps.

    Yum it is good.

    I cannot drink alcohol on Sunday's thru Thursday's at all due to my job -- I am an armed guard.

    Friday's and Saturday's when I am off duty are the only times when I can actually have any alcohol so then I make up for the other 5 days.

    Yeah, I think they paid over a grand for the bike and it only had one tire.

    Heck yeah, and even a kick stand. It looked brand new. Mine should have been worth at least 2 grand.
