Ramps are good.

 

I’m 48 and have enough gas in the tank to bust out another home. We just sold the home we built and raised our kids in, time to down size. Too much heating, lighting, and cleaning a big house. 15-1600 sqft would be plenty enough for my bride and I. A 40’x40’detached kitchen complete with floor drains, 3 compartment sink, stainless tables, walk in refrigerator for the deer/elk cleaning, beer making, chicken processing as well as canning, freeze drying the bounty from the garden. And a 40x60 metal shop for parking the boat, RV and equipment and I’m calling it done. Well besides some simple chicken coops and green houses.

 

I just piddle around. But i have this recycled lumber that could make some nice goat stalls......also got two old shower stall doors that would work for a hobby greenhouse. But right now its just cleaning up that lumber and storing it. One thing at a time....finish that....go to next project. Also have to plant some rygrass...soon. I love the fact that I am still learning.

 

A walk in refrigerator. ...my my...You are way out of my league. I am a po boy.

 

Ummmm, errrr, uh, yeah, holy smokes.

 

Basically just frame and insulate a small room and install a window type air conditioner. There is a device you can buy called a coolbot that will trick the air conditioner into thinking the room is still warm and it will continue to run until the room is at the temperature you would like it to be. Shoot an elk early in the season and you will need a place to hang it to cool. Or picking vegetables every day and storing them until you have enough for canning. Making beer in the summertime is always a challenge to keep it in the proper temperature range for the style you are going for and to compound that fermentation generates its own heat.

Went to the doc this morning for a physical. Decided to make an apt after that migraine I had over thanksgiving. Turns out I'm healthy. Last year's bloodwork showed I had the metabolic age of a 19 year old (I'm in my 30s). Now, it says my metabolic age is about 30. Which makes sense because I've been skinny my whole life and now I'm having to work out twice as hard to keep myself in shape. I have gained about 15 lbs since May.

Didn't have to report in for work today given the 14 hour days I'll have this weekend. Took the dog to a dog park and watched him show off his new rubber tennis ball. A beagle made the mistake of trying to take it when he dropped it for some water. First time I've seen Nicky pissed off lol

 

I have two folders full of house plans for when we tear down the Shack. Also with NO STAIRS.

Did I mention that the Shack is fully paid for and therefore subject to a controlled burn? *rubs hands together* I live for the day...….

Took dad out for his 93rd bday tonite... well, 4 o'clock. We did Red Lobster. Havent been there in years. Food was good, just like I remember. Servers were a little surly, just like I also remember. Maybe it's over exposure to crabs.

Gmornin yall. Had to meet with roofer this morning... dreading this process but it's gotta be done. Sprung 2 leaks during the recent monsoons. Now theyre saying a tree has to come down before they can start. *sigh* Joys of homeownership.
