That is serious stuff. TG they dealt with it fast.
On the bright side - that's one more thing that you will never have to worry about again. :)

The US Army even makes its own soldiers hurry up and wait for everything.
He was a very luck man to get out of that horrible war alive. Good luck for you too. :)

Do we think that SMW has recovered enough that we can start taunting her with tales of the cheeseburgers that we're eating?

Not quite. When they brought lunch today I was impressed Til I discovered that good looking cheeseburger was actually a dried out, grilled chicken breast. Oh well, the broccoli and melon was good.

Are you getting out of bed?

I'm getting an image of you shuffling down a hallway, dragging hoses along.

I guy that I knew, he was the older brother of a friend, told me a story of his hospital stay.

He got his Chevy Nova up to 90mph before he lost control. The car broke off a telephone pole ten feet above the ground. It broke up into three pieces. The main body ended upside down. The cops never found the driver. When the tow truck driver was looping a chain through the rear windows, blood dripped on him. My friend's 6foot 4inch older brother was wedged in the floor of the rear passenger area.

    He broke his neck.

The hospital had him in a contraption where he laid on a bed with a crown, of sorts, on his head. It was attached with screws into his skull. There was a rope attached to the crown that went through a pulley and had a weight attached to the end.

He was stuck there for a long time. Long enough to otherwise have developed bedsores. In order to prevent that, the bed could rotate. The staff would place snother bed on top of him, pull the locking pin, spin him over to lay on his stomach, put the pin back in, then take the other bed off of his back. They did yhis on a schedule.

    Can you see what's coming?

One day, he got frustrated with the TV programming and threw the remote at the TV. That's when he discovered that the staff forgot to put the locking pin back in. The bed spun around and he crashed onto his hands and knees and hanging by the rope. It was all he could do to croak "help...".

Hang in there SMW. Do you want me to bring you my doggie bag from Babe's Chicken Dinner House? It has some smoked chicken, chicken fried steak, and fried fish. I have people everywhere. SIL does case studies at UTSW, I have a friend who is a cop at main Baylor, my cousin is a case worker at Presby on Walnut Hill. I know facilities people at all of these places.

I had one of the best days of my life today. My 6 month old granddaughter took a 2 hour nap on my chest. Daughter in law didn't think I could get her to sleep. I showed her. I just had to tuck my beard into my shirt so she wouldn't play with it.

You would be right. Also 3 am vitals checks and blood draws. Yes, I got up several times today... with help. Amazing the things we take for granted.

P.S. This is my second hospital stay, the first was 30 yrs ago. Some things have changed, some havent. Still not fun. :(

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed, this morning.

    I should demand a raise.

The antibiotics and the draining are the key to recovery. The more the better.
Be patient. CNN on mute w/o subtitles can be rather amusing. ;-)

The waterfront trail has doggie poop bag stations. I ordinarily steal one to use for picking stuff up. They don't work that well, but they work well enough.

For this job, I had to go buy some 30gal. Hefty bags and some disposable plastic gloves. I filled the bag up twice.

Can we still deduct job expenses on our taxes?

I hate litter. As far as I'm concerned, litterers do belong on the Group W bench with the father-rapers.
