    They're baaaaaaaack!

That was a mighty impressive performance by the Ravens last night. If they keep playing like that they're going to be hoisting the Vince Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.

The Chargers' beat-down on the Packers was another eye opener. I was looking forward to a shoot-out between Philip Rivers and Aaron Rogers and the Chargers defense shut that down.

I love glass, all kinds of glass. My wife and I spend a lot of time in thrift stores looking for the stuff. To me glass is like a precious stone you can you can mold and bend , color, and shape. My stained glass skills are amateur at best. But I am learning.

It may be a little while. The bottom pond has a leak. So I shut the system down and put a 90 degree elbow in the top pond to rais it's water level. Then pumped as much water as possible to the top pond. The top pond holds water well. The bottom pond will drain until it gets to the bottom of the crack where the leak is. I will then mark the water line with a marker. Then pump the remaining water into the plant pond. I will then coat the entire bottom pond with fiberglass resin just below the line. Then a little cement work on the top. Now that I know the top pond doesn't leak I have to keep it from freezing sold. The best way is to keep the water moving. But in my mind there seems to be a possibility of the whole thing freezing at once. So I got a bucket heater for really cold nights. The pump will sit in the lowest point on the bottom pond. It will pump water up to a basin above the top pond. This will fall into the top pond. A pvc pipe goes through the wall and falls through to the bottom pond after being "smashed" on rocks. The pump picks the water up and the water circulates through the system. 20191014_091953.jpg The pipe is 2 inch. I want to make sure water will fall out of it faster than the water will be pumped into the top pond. I can also cap the pipe or use it to raise the level of the top pond. The bottom pond will probably be full of rocks and plants. Hopefully , some crawfish.

Decided to watch the new South Park episodes about China. Had not watched SP for over a decade. This is season 23! Set up to series record and it has picked up well over 100 episodes. The 40+ that are obviously political are saved. I think SP mirrors the common culture, and what once was common decency is now very uncommon.

Have watched about 10 episodes. They are very funny, very edgy, but disturbing to watch.

Pffff....until you're in a full blown fist fight in the middle of the street with an Amazon chick who is kicking your ass while people pull out lawn chairs to watch, Jerry Springer is Nursery School.
    Not that I would know.
    Just sayin'.

I never really watched South Park because of exactly what you are describing.
I like older cartoons. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck type cartoons. They're simple. A simple story, simple designs, simple colors and the music is cool.

Yep. Also read a white paper from the 70s titled "A cashless, checkless society." Nobody believed it would happen.

Can't stand SP. IMO it's like animated MSNBC. Love the old Merrie Melodies types. Esp the 'documentaries.

I have recorded some old cartoons for young children at family events. They prefer the new stuff - Puffin Island, Peppa Pig, Masha and the Bear. All very good and much softer than the old toons.

South Park is not for kids. Very adult content, and much of it is anti-establishment and political - but not partisan. Every sacred cow is gored from end to end.
They are very funny, but I am about maxed out. May save a few for when I only have time for 20 minutes of diversion.

You should watch a couple to see why it has survived for 23 seasons. Their core audience must have lost it's cringe reflex.

SP is very hostile to progressives and political correctness, Islamic radicals, etc.
I would label it anti-establishment or anarchist/libertarian, but no tidy label really fits.
SP is obscene political comedy that works hard to exceed its viewers' limits. It does that very well.

Just screened a few mins of "Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow" (Air Day 10/19/2005) "Global Warming is blamed for a flood..."

    Seemed tamer than most.
