Well, apparently my soon to be great nephew decided he didn't like the idea of Friday the 13th as a birthday, either.

With an imminent arrival, Grandma is driving like a maniac to get there in time..... Bay area of CA to Great Bend Kansas. Wiil she make it? The odds are high.....

A different artist that I can post that's whats- new. Here is a video( 8 million views!) I liked because of the way it was done- simple and it got me using Movie Maker to put together videos.

I know what you mean. Music reminds me of all different things. Some songs remind me of people. Some remind me of a time in my life. Some make me think, I wish a person I was thinking of were here to hear this.

This song will always remind me of Flounder. I hear it and I can picture him singing this at one of those high end places in the Catskills he played at.

Don't care for salmon... unless it's in a salmon patty. Same with tuna. Gimme a can, not a tuna steak.

Now I'm getting hungry again. What's for supper?

lolol No. She left it out on the table to get warm while waiting. Doh! ;)

But yeah, my dad used to get the kippers in a tin, and we'd just eat them right out of the tin. Great camping food actually (writes that down for summer paintball camp).

Need to test out my instant pot though. Accidentally melted the plastic cover off the bottom. Makes amazing roasts.

How's about a mudbug for supper???? Scientists claim that there will be so many of us that man will have to start eating bugs. They.... being scientists and having no imagination.... claim it will be mealworms or crickets or something. But if I have to eat a bug it will be a mudbug raised with or 20200311_155401.jpg without mud. The food of the future! The answer to global hunger. The glorious and magnificent crayfish.

Started out with 11 crawdads in my homemade 90 gallon tank. Decided to use very little heat in my tanks. The weather was cool when I got them so I heated my 90 gallon tank to 60 degrees with a bucket heater. The tank was cycled. I let the "dad's" go and they disappeared. Being in an unheated shed the temps dropped the tanks to under 50 degrees. 10 degrees Celsius. Swamp crayfish ceases most activity in water under 50 degrees so not much to see. I don't know the exact formula but it takes twice as much energy to heat a greenhouse from 45 to seventy than it does to go from 0 to 45. My crawfish don't grow much in cool tanks but they aren't dead either. I have been doing average temps and now my tanks are at 65 degrees and my dad's are moving around some. No dead bodies found yet.

I want an instant pot. Another gadget to use a few times, store away and forget about it.

85 degrees here. Guess I can forget about a snow day. Heard rumors today my employer might switch to telework because of the virus. No clue what that means for me, but it sounds like time off w pay!

Now that you brought it up ... what do Crawfish eat in the wild.
I'm thinking little bugs and insects on the water top.

They eat plant matter and small animals. They have no preference of plant over animal matter. I feed mine shrimp pellets and recently have been putting hay and green matter in the tanks with frequent water changes.
