I actually rode a single speed mountain bicycle today for a couple of hundred foot down the road and turned around and come back up.

I can't overwork my ankle and foot but I don't need to sit here in bed and milk it for another month either.

Been awhile since I have posted.

My garden is doing ok the weather had a lot to do with what happened. It has been really dry here no rain for days and weeks. Now we are getting rain and more rain, not complaining the rain is welcome. One patch of the corn came in and I managed to harvest some for a meal, the corn could have used another day or two of getting ripe. The problem with the wait time the deer were ready for something fresh to eat also, they finished the corn off before my day or two was up. They have had a rough time it has been very dry here so a little pity for the deer is due they were hungry. They were kind enough to leave the other vegetables alone. The onions we planted came in and were large nice onions, the potatoes were good and of course plant of squash and zucchini. The tomato seeds turned out to be cherry tomatoes on the plus side they are loaded with lycopene and vitamin A. All is good.

How about some Glen Campbell music. Galveston maybe this will bring Smartie to the bar.

We have finally gotten some typical weather... triple digit heat. the rain was good and I am wondering what the usual rainy season, July thru Sept will release.

Some bulging and herniated disks in my spine has prevented me from gardening for the last two years. I finally got some relief via an epidural, so I’m hoping to get out there soon. We don’t have deer issues; it’s the iguanas that screw everything up.

Dr. Benjamin Conteras, a neurosurgeon in Cd.Chih, fixed my wife's back, slipped in some synthetic disc,, at the time, he was the most experienced in the world for the procedure.

I already had a c5/6 fusion 20 years ago. They don’t want to operate again. My primary care doc and my spine doc are in complete agreement on this.

Iguanas are something that can make you hurt yourself avoiding them.

She might have tendonitis. That can be very painful.

yes.. 35+ years of cutting hair would do that , not to mention the yard work, mostly operating her little battery powered weed cutter .. and dragging 100 ft of hose from tree ring to tree ring. I do both of course, but even at 65, being 6'1" and 270 lbs, it tends to not wiegh on me as much..

no... the pushing an over 5oo lb tree (est) off the trailer does that. (I'd loaded it with the tractor, but did not have the tractor at the dump site.. so I backed the trailer off a cliff? vertical drop of 30 to 40 ft and tried to push it off, which I did, but then I had to fetch the tractor to pull the trailer out of the hole anyway,,, I should have just started with the tractor when unlaoding anyway

Since I am now out of debt other than my student loans, I have decided to take what I was paying in house and car payments and using the money for some home improvement stuff. First project is a DIY patio of sorts using those precast blocks. Aiming for something about 20' X 20' but will probably only do 20X10 of it over the next few weeks and then do the rest in the fall. The area is not accessible by dump truck so I am wheelbarrowing a lot of dirt right now to get it all level.

Finished the for now 20X10 half of the paver patio. Will let it sit for the rest of the summer to settle and shift around and then relevel it before I do the remaining half. Humid as crap today after rain all week. We had over 5 inches. Bout time to crawl in the air conditioned cave for the duration of summer.

So I drove past this place twice today. LOL.

I don’t know what they have besides a rest area but they obviously don’t have a name.

90° 60% humidity and Canadian smoke makes it a glorious day to try to get caught up on yardwork

My sister is in central Illinois. They couldn’t go outside for something like four days because of your fires. She appreciates it!!

8CDF54F0-E896-4051-BD74-B88BA3B00EB2.jpeg It is somewhere around A hundred degrees. A proper temperature for this place at this time of year. They serve hamburgers with hot sauce here. Salsa verde in this instance.

Last week I made a quick trip from home (Nebraska) to the western slope of Colorado. Going from 80°F in Nebraska to 95°F in Colorado was a nice respite from the heat. Give me heat without humidity please…. :)
