Good morning everybody. First let me apologize to everyone for my absense. I have been under doctors orders not to do anything, and they meant anything at all. Some of you may know about the problem I had with my heart racing so fast. It seems that that was the aftermath of what had happened to me. It seems that I had a series of small heart attacks. The amazing thing about it was that I felt nothing at all. It seems that it is common in people with diabetes to have small heart attacks and not even feel them. But it is not common for the heart to race so fast for such a long period of time.

Well I have done my level best to do nothing at all, but I just can't stand it any more. I go back to see the cardiologist on monday morning and get the results of all of the tests that they ran on me. I have been poked, stabbed, pried and have moe blood taken from me than I thought that I had. I have had so many x-rays taken that I now glow in the dark. I have been put on tread mills, bikes and just about anything you can think of. I know that they are only thinking about my well being, as well as their pocketbook, because they simply just love my insurance.

Well all I can say is that it appears to be that my number isn't up yet. If it were I would have been gone a long time ago. That wonderful wife of mine just took over and would not let me do anything at all. She waited on me hand and foot, which I kind of enjoyed, But that has to stop as she is wearing herself out trying to work full time and take care of the house and me as well. I do love that old gal but as of today I am going to just get back on track and off of my behind.

So, if you guys still want me hanging around here, I will be more than happy to stay. I have missed all of you.

 

It's that time of year....two big spring events for the cadets and yesterday was one of them. I've been buried with getting prepared for it, now the commissioning will be May 11th. Then, I'm going to find a private island somewhere and only my closest friends can join me for the summer. Are y'all ready?

 

We surely missed you sweetie, and were hoping you took the lovely bride on a vacation, instead of it being something serious.

OT!!!! Okay, we're suspending the campaign. No more running for president for you. I will, however, keep the campaign bus for a while longer, if that's okay with you. Please, please take care of yourself. Right after I slap you for even asking if you can hang around. You're a vital part of this group!

 

I was going to ask which one was you in that line up....LOL Now, I have chick-a-boom in my head all day....morning Thelma!

Thanks dearie. I feel the same as before I knew anything at all about this heart thing I have. I am supposed to be on hold until the 30th but I can't take all of this inactivity. And if your lighter dont work I can always fire up the grill. No lighter needed there cause it has an auto spark feature. and before I forget my manners. THANK YOU.

Good to see you back, OT! And don't you worry, darlin... they've got so many gadgets and meds these days, they'll have you as good as new in no time. I told you about my friend who has a defib implanted in his chest, didn't I. Three years ago and he's ticking right along. Keep your chin up... they'll fix you!!

Heading out of town in a few to take my stepdad to a funeral in Louisiana. Be back tomorrow if we don't run off into a swamp someplace. Y'all behave!

Good morning everyone. Looks like it will be a nice day here in Jackson today. The temp is 33 right now and is supposed to get up to about 48 later on. Hopefully there will be no more snow. It snowed most of yesterday, but it didn't stick anywhere except up in the pass. I guess that the ground is to warm. Well it is now time to get up and get moving, even though it is Saturday. You have to get the house clean, right. and not to mention all those other little things like shopping for food, getting the clothes from the cleaners just to name a few.

So breakfast this morning will fill you up but not fill you out. It packs a great little punch against those couple of extra pounds ( not that you have any now ) so get the coffee turned on and chow down and enjoy.
