    Happy to be here, SMW!

It's forecast to be over 100 again today, so I need to quit goofing off and get out side to do some work before lunch.

Save me a cold one for later! :)

Yes. I gave up about two hours ago, came in to cool down and eat lunch. Got a bit done, but not enough. Wife is headed down to Houston to help her son and DIL for a few days.

Ugh, Houston's no better, weatherwise. Now if she can make it to the beach...

Hah! Yes, she might do that with a 8 month old granddaughter in tow. DIL works 9-5 and son is in finals week at Law school. Late career change for him, he's 37. I think he has another year to go.

Actually pretty warm for you, huh? You got a/c in the house & car?

Good for her son... glad she's gonna be there to help out. And yep, I'd pack that kid up and take her to the beach. Wear her lil butt out and take her back home. ;)

Yeah but it cost too much to run ac in the house. 85 is actually not too bad....It does get up to 100 here though.

Ugh. What's the point of living in the mtns if it's still that hot?

Oh wait, you're in CA... there is no point. :roflol:

The temp here is 86 degrees and slightly overcast not bad for Florida. Nice beach weather.

Galveston is where I would rather be.

My area was hit by a pretty solid microburst and 3/4 inch hail. Mostly tree damage at my place, plus a few lost shingles and battered screens. A neighbor lost a lot of shingles on his house.

Not a drop here yet, but we do have a 20% chance and it's dropped to 89. A few dark clouds have passed over, but looks like once again, we're getting the shaft.

Daise... you can always meet me in Galveston. I'd luv the company. ;)

Wish I could, but it was pure luck that one ran over the top of us. We haven't had a good rain in a week. That one lasted about half an hour.

Wife is out of town, so it's just me, the dog, the cat and the chickens. On my third screwdriver and fourth episode of a mini-"Elementary" marathon.

LOL! No but there's a restaurant in OKC that does. It's atop a 20+ story
    tower. It's called the Nikz.
