Snopes: Website’s Political ‘Fact-Checker’ Is Just A Failed Liberal Blogger

I agree that they are not infallible, but I do not think that they are so biased as to be rejected entirely as a source. I can post many fact checks leveled at Obama that nail him for lies, overstatements and half truths. I also like that they give source citation to back their claims.

This is an older thread, but as of today there is no doubt what so ever that Snopes tries hard to protect the left. They simply cant be trusted.

 

They "protect" the truth...and gee...that usually leans left.

Yes, Snopes is no good when you live in an alternate reality. There's a lot of that going around these days.

 

I suppose when your "alternate reality" is a safe space hiding out during the coming inauguration, save a space for the crew of Snopes........they are gonna need a hug.

 

That was what was already posted in this thread a few posts before yours, when you acted like no one could give an example. No, it's not earth-shattering, but it does prove the point.

It is AN example. It doesn't have to be the "best" example. But it does show that if they will cover for the Democrats on something that trivial, you certainly can't trust them on more weighty issues. If a guy won't pay you back the $5 he owes you, are you going to loan him $1000?

 

They always give an exc..an explanation as to why they made their judgement. So what? That wasn't even close to my point.

That's great, but my point is that not every fact that they check is a fact, or fact checkable.
