No. I think he tied it to Crowd strike and the Bidens since they were next in the conversation.

This played out over a few months. People were raising questions well before the call.

Actually, the "favor" was tied to nearly $400 million in aid, Javelins or whatever else. The experience of those in power whether government, business, or the mafia know how to read the obvious. Don Trump or Don Corleone don't give explicit order to kill or bribe or frame a guy. They say things like Rocko Brown has become a problem for us. Or, but we need a favor..... Anybody that can't read the language doesn't last long in an organization and Trump speaks the language as good or better than anyone. Quite masterful really. The Ukraine understood very well what Trump was after. So did Trump's pals. So did the investigators. Only the naive missed it.

It stood out like a turd on a wedding cake.

First of all, the impeachment is about Trump withholding aid for investigation. In that call, Zelensky was talking about buying Javelins. I don’t believe anyone brought up the military aid package.
Second, where is the proof that the aid was held for investigation into Biden?
List me witnesses who have heard Trump say that.

Would you be OK with your parent going to prison for a long time based on witnesses that assumed and guessed, but never actually saw your parent committing a crime?

Please provide the list of names of people who actually heard Trump saying he is holding aid over the investigation?

Now one must actually witness the crime. One's must hear words (Hey, Joe. I want you to kill Steve then I'll send you the million bucks) then write them down to convict. This is not how life works.

Impeachment is about high crimes and misdemeanors. To be convicted in court even of misdemeanor there must be solid evidence - eye witnesses, recordings, documents, and other real hard evidence.
This impeachment only produced witnesses who have never actually heard Trump say he is holding the aid hoping to pressure Ukraine to investigate Biden. All it is is guesses and assumptions.
Try to imagine convicting someone even of DUI (a misdemeanor) based on such evidence and witnesses. In real court the case would be dropped as soon as judge would realize what he/she is dealing with.

The testamony of Alexander Vindman, Gordon Sondland, David Holmes, Fiona Hill, and Public statements by Nick Mulvaney. Other than that you can do your own homework.

Stop throwing BS around. Javelins are military hardware. That 400 billion included money which Ukraine could use to purchase various kinds of military hardware

And incidentally back in the spring of 2018 Trump actually stalled the delivery of Javelins in order to get the Black Ledger case that implicated Manafort dropped.

    https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/09/2...a-missile-sale-to-ukraine-for-political-gain/

The most recent call may not have been the first time Javelin missiles have been caught in the political crosshairs. In April 2018, just weeks after the U.S. State Department approved a $47 million sale of Javelins to Ukraine, Kyiv halted investigations by an anti-corruption prosecutor into Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, who worked for a decade for a pro-Russian political party in Ukraine, in an apparent effort not to rock the boat in Washington.

I think I read it's a lot to do with education! I think common sense is enough, but education is good too!

In fact, there is only two people that could and one was trying to find out why it was withheld. So it’s rather obvious who held up the aid, Trump.

Kinda amazing the continuing series of fall back defenses
Starting out with the was absolutely no qpq and every thing was perfect
Eventually winding up that there was no signed notarized qpq

"The specific charges against Clinton (impeachment) were lying under oath and obstruction of justice."
Maybe that will be the same vehicle for Trump.

Lol. Isn't that exactly what Republicans are saying?...."I think Joe did it".
Isn't their whole defense for Trump based on something they think Biden did?
