Thanks for making my point. The original South African inhabitants were the Khoikhoi and the San. The Xhosa invaded about the same time as the Boers arrived. Nothing more than murdering savages. Killing people and stealing their cattle. Hundreds of years later they are still the same. Trying to steal what is not theirs.

Anyway, I always felt that if Israel had compensated the Palestinians for the land right from the start, the Palestinians wouldn't have any claims today. Big mistake on their part. Yeltsin ruled only a very short period of time. So what you are claiming is baseless. Mass genocides conducted by Stalin and Lenin between 1917-1950s. Before that WW1 was taking its toll on poor Russians whom were previously oppressed by the Tsardom. After Romanovs, Lenin, Stalin and the Communist party oppressed, and massacred poor Russians for 73 consecutive years. Since 1998 Putin's dicta has been oppressing them. So Russian people basically have not experienced any democracy or liberty in sociopolitical terms for centuries. Even during Yeltsin's era Russian deep state was assassinating many pro-western politicians and activists on the streets of Moscow. I think it's time for Russian people to stand up against this oppression strongly... Hope they will overthrow the mafia boss called Putin who has been sitting on hundreds of billions dollars of wealth.

You are right though in one respect, it wasn't only the poverty during the 90's when billions were being stolen and people were going hungry that kept women from having children. There was also the genocide of 20 million by the Nazis so they could gain land for their growing population - which by the way was solved with the firestorms - thanks to Roosevelt and Churchill. And then there were those killed by Stalin, and the 20 million Christians killed by the Godless Bolsheviks.

Anyway I'm of the opinion that every major turmoil that occurred in history had to do with climate change and crop failures, starting with the German invasions of the Roman Empire, up to the great depression that led to WWII.
