I don't know what South Africa's citizenship laws were but by the late 20th Century most black Africans living in South Africa were not indigenous people of South Africa but were immigrants who came from other regions of Africa looking for work.

The United States use to be one of the few countries in the world where an immigrant could be naturalized as a citizen. In Europe the way it use to be only Germans could be German citizens, only the Frenchman could become a citizen and the British had no naturalization laws to become a British subject.

When you start "re-appropriating" wealth it has a habit of getting away from you.

 

Nobody who is getting aid for food, clothing and housing for sustaining themselves and their immediate family can be accused of having wealth.

 

Plus, you're dodging the real root of socialism, which includes the government owning the means of production.
