It seems the only right-wing talking points are that Scott was a dumbass for running away. Who gives a (*)(*)(*)(*)? It does not justify anything.

Absolutely not! It is 100% illegal for a police officer to shoot an unarmed man, anywhere on their body, for resisting arrest in the United States. When did you decide to revise the police code of conduct?

The whole department should be charged as accessories. They participated in the cover up and the culture of racism and police violence and brutality.

There has to be an end to police investigating themselves.

This is another case of the victim committing the offence of driving while black.

The broken tail light routine by the police is so discredited it is amazing it is still is accepted by the police managers.

Hmm seems a bit extreme, as the first cop after the shooter on scene was a black woman... you have evidence she was in on a cover up?

Why? The police department charged the man with murder without much of an investigation. These are times when the police should be praised, because they did something right for a change, and removed an (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) from the force.

Yes, he did. If he didn't, would it matter? A policeman who shoots eight times on the fear that a black man has a gun is mentally inept for the job.
A fleeing man should never be fired at unless he uses lethal force to shake off his pursuers. Until that point there is no justification for violence.

It is called ROE (Rules of Engagement)

Based on the video... real bad choice of action by the officer. How long till Sharpton comes on the scene.

suspect took the cops tazer, which can be a very dangerous weapon used to rob, rape, or assault people.

since when is it a crime to shoot a dangerous fleeing criminal?

Probably because we don't see the police gunning down to many white fleeing suspects.

If people didn't commit crimes there would be no need to have police would it. How about as an officer of the law, you uphold the law and not break it.

Well we know that is not the case, because it happens everyday.

    were they armed?

cops have the authority and obligation to shoot an armed suspect that is fleeing arrest.

Yes but that does not make a much of a difference when the fellow is running away. A Cop is not supposed to assume "Gosh, the guy is running away so he must be armed"

More white suspects are killed by the police each year than black suspects.

Not when the fellow is running away. Besides, the guy did not have a tazer.
