Most of you under 50, have not experienced stagflation. In simple terms, the economy cools as inflation heats up. Equilibrium can only be reached when inflation slows enough to let paychecks catch up. Obviously, wage increases are not equally distributed. People are going to get buried.
The 70's stagflation was sparked by the Arabs forming a cartel, and cutting supplies to get market price on their oil instead of just royalties.
Today's inflation is due to one pig headed president with no plan. All the fed can do is raise rates, but election pressure will be on to cut them. Lowering taxes might help, but Biden wants to kill off the Trump tax cuts because "Orange Man Bad".
Biden aside, anyone got any economic solutions the White House missed?

Lowering taxes is the GOP answer to literally everything. Deficits too high? Cut taxes. Got a surplus? Cut taxes!

The op is just more scaremongering opinion instead of a current event.

Things are slowing down. Inflation hasn’t slowed long enough for most people to recognize it.

A Fed rate cut, wven a small one would be helpful.
