That wasn't the question. You said your environment was being destroyed. Give an example.

Sorry you don’t like my answer. The good news is in most cases corporations will not take advantage of the freedom to pollute, they know trump is a blip on the road to a better environment for all.

You didn't post an answer. You made a statement but haven't any evidence of its being accurate. You're posting your feelings. That's what leftists do, and it's tiresome.

So sorry that I upset you. Take solace in the fact that we will progress as a nation and as a planet to reduce emissions and to further protect our environment. The trump blip of pollute more is just that, a blip.

No worries. I'm not upset at all.

    Here's some good advice.

I am sorry if you believe women are all blubbering masses of uncontrolled emotion with no brains, reason or self control.......too bad the world has proven you wrong

More hyperbole, "destabilizing " the " country ..??? LOL! guess you missed the part where the protests happened all over the world and no country was destabilized by it.

See, I think science deniers are the really emotional people....they have no facts but deny deny deny while not giving a damn what happens to the upcoming generations...

Polluted air and water will cause more destabilization than your mythical "Hysterical Women""

Children want a life and a world that is liveable in.

    https://www.theguardian.com/environ...issions-targets-to-limit-global-heating-to-2c

Our Governments allowed by our apathy have moved past the time when there could be any hope of any gradual transition, when climate change is just a side topic while we get on with our wars whether economic or hot. We either choose to get behind solving this issue for our children now with all of our attention, or we end humanity as we know it.

If tobacco, sugar, guns, and GMO's don't worry people ..... maybe they are saving up for a condo inside the bubble on Mars.

And the intelligent solution seems to be to demand that everyone stop using fossil fuels but to keep driving your own fossil fuel powered car.
If the students want the world to stop using fossil fuel they should lead by example and that would have far more impact than protest marches.
I wonder, did they drive their cars or take a diesel powered bus to the protests?

Huh?! What's the minimum age for driving a car in your country? Greta Thunberg took a sailing boat to the U.S. I am not saying that she (or her chaperon) use air-power everywhere they go but sailing to North America was at least symbolic. I think the point is to reduce the causes that each country contributes to the destruction of the earth. Foxhatings is right ....

... and you'd have to be extraordinarily obstinate in order to misunderstand that.

If man made climate change was real, these activists would be all over China. It's not. It's about "Socialist Control Change",

I'm all for clean air and water. But this global warming thing has me baffled. It's a scientific fact that the earth entered the current warming trend about fifteen thousand years ago. It caused the extinction of species such as the mastodon, woolly mammoth, and giant sloth. The ice caps began melting which caused the oceans to begin rising. In the past seven thousand years, the Gulf of Mexico has risen thirty to forty feet in depth. All of this was pre industrial revolution. So to say that man is the cause of global warming, rising oceans and intense storms is from my perspective not unlike being accused of robbing a bank simply because you went to your bank to make a withdrawal while it was in the process of being robbed. Even if you stayed home, the bank would still be robbed. And even if there were no humans on the earth, it would continue to warm.

Card to elaborate just exactly what you would have us do to to immediately stop earth from warming that you claim we are causing? What exactly would this look like?

And the protesters could have started by staying home as a form of protest instead of driving their cars to their big global warming party.

Exactly right but instead they praise China because it signed the meaningless Paris deal and ignore China building eighty new coal fired power plants world wide after having done so.

We WERE starting to working on the problem by raising fuel efficiency, making electric vehicles more economical feasible with rebates and tax credits. Tax credits for home solar systems. Tax credits for large corporations like Fed Ex and UPS to change their fleets of delivery vehicles to electric. At the very worst, we would have cleaner air and water. At best, we might might give ourselves more time to prepare for a changing climate.

The pathetic thing about Trump Fanboys is that they have let the perfect become the enemy of the good. They say, "Cleaner air and water is stupid because China ...". They let China dictate our children lives.

Changing vehicles to electric is a smoke and mirrors solution until you can provide vast amounts of electricity being produced that would be required for such a transition without simply relying on more fossil fuel produced electricity.
Home solar panels are already given tax breaks by the vast majority of states.
    Care to try again?

Ed Miliband is describing the approach that others have already said needs to be started.

    https://www.theguardian.com/politic...wartime-mobilisation-to-tackle-climate-crisis

Labour do seem committed to do what needs to be done. Extinction Rebellion however believe that it should be worked out by citizens assemblies - which without question will be needed if Government does not work and/or could work alongside Government.

However if you want to have a look at what some are speaking about and this without question will be what will be next if Governments do not respond pronto and will likely go along with it as well, do a search for Deep Adaption.

There will also no doubt soon be strong fines and prison sentences for eco crimes.

Still didn't answer my question. How would you get to net carbon zero by 2030? What's your plan? What exactly would you have us do? What would this look like in our every day lives?
