You might wanna check this out. You can use the completely unbiased ratings to prove some of the points I'm about to make

    http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/category/ratings

I wonder if you understand how cable advertising works......

CNN, HLN, and MSNBC have divided up their mostly liberal audience, 1/2 of the country, three ways, so it's no wonder why Fox has higher ratings....their mostly conservative audience, 1/2 of the country, is concentrated is on one network, Fox.

At any rate...HLN, MSNBC, and CNN still reach enough viewers that they are included in all advertising blocks sold to advertisers.

So Fox deosn't make more money than CNN, HLN, or CNN, or the Food Network......Fox is profitable because they have lower expenses on the operating end. Newscorp is a huge company that naturally has lower operating expenses because they own every facet of conservative media except Rush, and many local news stations.

Rupert Murdoch is a very successful businessman, and his product is moral outrage. Right now......righties in the US have plenty to be mad about, and Murdoch makes his money by providing entertainment that makes rightes feel justified in thier anger, fear, and hate.

I don't put one bit of stock in what I hear on any cable news network, or talk radio, from eithr side of the political spectrum.

In conclusion......CNN and Zakharia are not "down the tubes", in spite of what Fox News's inspirational rhetoric might have you believe.

It takes a "special" kind of viewer to trust Fox "News".

This is a pretty recent example:

Yes they all have an anti-White agenda. Because they say there is a race problem.

Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.
The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.
Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.
What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?
How long would it take anyone to realize I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?
And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?
But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.
They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.
    Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

So the question again, where do you get your news from? You obviously consider yourself "not" stupid, so enlighten us on where we can get the news for smart people please...

People who subscribe to the right wing hyperbole, opinion, and statements presented as "facts" on Fox are a threat to national security, our economy, and the freedoms of minorities, women, and LBGTs'

However, I neither blame them, nor am I resentful towards them. The vast majority of righty conservative media victims are people who pay taxes, want to live a secure and moral life, and want the world to enjoy freedoms like the US and most other countries enjoy. I don't think they're brainwashed either. I simply pity those who allow the intellectually repulsive swill that cable news providers sell into thier heads....because it's not healthy.

Cable news viewers need to take a look around them. If there are no Muslims in thier front yard bushes trying to blow them up, and there is not a gay couple down the street having threesomes with horses in thier front yard, and welfare recipient minorites haven't come to the door demanding money, and Obama's troops haven't come by to collect your guns, spare change, and give you a list of things you can't do anymore...........it's probably like that everywhere else in the US.....and you should then realize that Obama isn't trying to destroy the country, and righties aren't all greedy fundamentalist bigots.

Ratings have nothing to do with the quality of the show.

Case in point......Jersey Shore is popular.

    lol.

Seems you confuse federalism with socialism. I do agree that excessive central government control is a recipe for eventual failure of the state, but that isn't even remotely what is happening in the US. Likewise, excessive social spending whilst ignoring any economic consequences can only be maintained by "trust" states like Dubai where wealth generation is not a function of the population's industry, but of exploitation of geographica resources.

And not knowing where libya is on a map is rather dangerous when the ignorant happen to be in control of the largest military/industrial complex the world has ever seen. Especially since that lack of sophistication means that they don't know what they don't know while expecting the rest of the world to behave like they do and want what they want.

Oh yes, the true danger is medicare and social security and PEL grants.

You don't need a survey. You can just tell by the ignorance shown by the right-wingers here.

You're wasting your time. Fox News watchers want to be convinced that Fox is somehow better than mainstream.

If they let the reality that Fox is just as bad as all the others sinl in....they'll have to realize that the ONE source they have for TV news, is unreliable.

What would they watch after that?.....what would they cite on this board?

Fox News tells them they're fair and balanced, and they NEED to believe it. It's just ego defense

Fox news can cause truth lesions and obfuscation of the primary thought process. It has been known to cause lapses in reality, confusion dependencies and even death. If you encounter any of these symptoms stop watching Fox News and call your doctor right away.

Fox News watchers should seek medical care before they stop viewing Fox News....because if they stop abruptly.....then the phoney outrage withdrawls will begin. Have you ever seen a Fox News watcher in withdrawls...it ain't pretty. They can become suicidal, paranoid, or comatose.

Either way...if you're still watching Fox News and think it's fair and balanced.....or you're going to quit...medical help is needed.

The sampled 9% more dems than republicans and only sampled 612 folk total.

    http://publicmind.fdu.edu/2011/knowless/

Theoretically, they sampled so few viewers of FOX that the sample result meant nothing, unless a LOT of dems also watched FOX for their news. Actually, the numbers sampled lead me to note that the sampling of republicans was less than 240 folks....AND, the poll was not one of politically active folk, voters or likely voters but simply of adults. Reading the specific questions, I also have to note the use of a lot of words like 'successful'...was the Egyptian uprising a success? The military is still in charge and the folk on the square would agree with those uninformed FOX viewers that the revolutions success is unsure at best. The lefts media here trumpeted the 'success' of the effort but FOX alone noted the warts in any detail.

WTF are you talking about? this is not a public opinion poll, it is strictly aimed to measure knowledge as a function of "media outlet" used!

    by the way...
