A physical barrier is needed, but we also need technology coupled with more agents. The correct action is diverting military spending, reallocate it for Border Patrol.

 

How would sensors have stopped that? The sensors should be located at the top of the fence, as soon as someone reaches the top the alarms go off. And while the most athletic of men might be able to climb it, the pregos won’t.

Yep. The attempt here is to say "look at this atypical outlier of a situation, this proves this thing doesn't work at all".

An opposing physical barrier is effective, but has to be used in addition with technology, personel, and an elimination of the things which motivate illegal immigration.

This problem is solvable, it's just that some don't want to solve it because it's beneficial to them.

The doesn’t want a physical barrier, they want a burglar alarm. Burglar alarms don’t stop burglaries, they only let you know when one is happening. The left says they want border security which implies they don’t want illegals here. But once they’re here they defend and protect them, offer them lawyers, sanctuary states and healthcare. If that’s not enough, they want to abolish ICE and are against voter ID.

The fact that someone would now need to spend money and exert additional physical effort only adds to the necessity of a physical barrier.

Not all sections of the border wall have sheet metal at the top, it varies on how isolated the area is, it's essentially a way of cutting costs for materials. The two pictures I posted were both newly constructed fencing. Also, sheet metal at the top of the fence is not a new design, it's been a part of the border fence design for decades, but again the design varies on the area, some parts of the border have triple layer fencing

 

According to trumps campaign pledge, it was supposed to be a 40ft tall concrete wall and was to be paid for entirely from Mexico. I've never seen concrete that looks like that before. And as of yet, Mexico hasn't paid us a penny towards the construction of the wall.

Some 20 feet.
Some 20 feet with topper
Some with sharp tops.








And of course this bondogle.
