Systematic Racism Can't Be Fixed Without Tackling It Within Cycling

Because the first thing a good cop will do is ask for license and registration

 

Apparently you have no clue about law enforcement and policies about dealing with stolen vehicles. People that steal vehicles often do not want to get caught. They will sometimes go to great lengths to avoid getting caught, including resorting to violence. Would you want to be a cop and have to walk up to a potential car thief, that could become violent at any second, and say "can I see your license and registration"?

I never learned to circumstances of the theft of the vehicle that looked like mine. Based on the police reactions, I kind of assumed they expected a violent reaction from the driver. There was certainly more to their reasoning as to why they thought my vehicle was the stolen vehicle, as I had a Dutch Brothers sticker in the lower left back window and the police said that the stolen car was reported to have "a sticker of some kind" in the same location.

 

The family of 4 black females were in a parking lot. Not moving.

 

Is such supposed to serve as circumstances that would alter how law enforcement officers are trained to approach potentially stolen motor vehicles, or otherwise address those that are inside the motor vehicle they have every reason to believe is stolen based on reports they have received?

If they were white.

Cops apologized for their mistake.
If white. None of that would have happened.
