Which shows that the narrative that Dems have been pushing regarding her being fired in order to make it easier for Trump et al to extort/bribe Ukraine in order to get political dirt on Biden is false.

He may have wanted her out before Biden officially announced his candidacy, but not before he knew (from early polls) that he was a potential and likely leading democratic candidate - back in April 2018.

 

1st, please provide any polls from April 2018 related to Biden....and then prove that Trump knew about them.

2nd, Are you seriously trying to tell me that Trump was prescient and new that Biden would run and therefore cooked up a scheme about Ukraine a year before Biden announced he would run? Dude....you're stretching big time.

I can't definitively prove Trump knew about them, but can reasonably believe that he did, given the extent of news coverage - not to mention his voracious appetite for news, which at the time also included a flurry of reports on Fox News about Hunter Biden's work in Ukraine. Even the chief of staff to the President of Ukraine was already expressing concerns that these reports would drag Ukraine in US politics.

If Biden's leading in early polls, there's no reason why Trump would hold back until he officially announces. Forward planning and not a big stretch at all. All he had to do was start raising questions about the Biden's in Ukraine, and get Rudy on the case.

 

So what, ambassadors serve solely at the pleasure of the President.
