    Huh? How is that different?
How is it different taking those people in as refugees and being their police force in our country???

You don't really think Ukraine can win against Russia, do you? with the limited level of assistance the US is currently providing

Well like Biden said about the Uighur genocide. A different cultural norm.

The thing is in this instance Biden is right. The US is not and cannot be the policeman of the world. We need to focus on things like the integrity of our own borders and the staggering out of control US debt.

Meh. A distinction without a difference. Anyone who believed the Taliban had a remote interest in Women’s rights was drinking the wrong kool aid. When women unite, they can change the world. American women convinced the country to ban alcohol.

The women in the ME made their choice. It sucks. I feel horrible for their female children, but it is what it is.

Do you think America would have still left if the Taliban had openly and completely admitted everything it wanted to do? (Take the society right back to where it was previously in 2001)

I think the Taliban's false assurances were one factor that may have helped convince the Biden Administration to just leave them alone and not do anything, guaranteeing them time to start establishing themselves in the government and building back up more power.

I’m not sure what you mean. I would support us helping Ukraine, because they want to fight. I’m against helping people who have no desire to help themselves.

In 2019 Trump knew he was losing in 2020 and decided to polish a turd to hand his successor. Biden handled it well as anyone could, better than most. Trump's agreement wouldn't have rescued even all our soldiers

Biden had a full 6 months to change course if he wanted to.

The Taliban wasn't really that much more powerful when power was handed over to Biden than when Trump made the deal.

It’s not like a new administration completely overhauls the military. In that short time span, the procedures were more or less the same as they would have been under Trump, or me, even.

There is no victory for Russia.
This will end in disarmament, or annihilation for them.

So you don't think Ukraine will be another Afghanistan moment for the Biden Administration?

They gave up and let the Taliban take over before we even left. That's pretty bad.

And if 20 yrs wasn't enough, 20 more would not matter either.

What is that claim based on other than emotion? Seems absurd to claim a country with thousands of nuclear warheads is going to be annihilated. A more realistic thought IMHO is that Russia will partition the Ukraine along a defendable river to the Black Sea. But who knows.

Didn't it? The Taliban broke the deal constantly under Trump, when he tolerated it that told them we were going

Biden had a whole 6 mos to overcome 20 years of mismanagement exacerbated by 4 years of even worse mismanagement under Trump culminating in a deal deliberately calculated to make the Democrats who would have its final implementation look bad. It's a wonder Biden carried it off as well as he did.

That's no excuse, that's a fact; another one of the very many that Republicans refuse to face about the worst President in our history, who THEY foisted on us.

Basically yes. Conservatives cost us several lives and billions of dollars to "pwn" the Democrats and succeeded, I hope they feel better.

You're making the assumption that all the refugees fled because they were criminals, that's clearly unwarranted.

ROFL, they dont have the logistics to do anyone anymore damage then they would do to themselves.
I imagine their stimulus is wearing thin as well. Anyone trading for the ruble anytime soon?

No. Not at all. I’ve not worn my mask in public in all but very few places, in many months. If you live in an area that does, that’s on you.

So, this sarcasm falls flat. Nobody likes flat carbonated beverages.
