That is exactly what it is. I heard this in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.

Bottom line, human beings will always be troubled by various problems. We need to maintain the will and purposes for resolving them.

We could sit here and readily LIST the problems that girl would possibly have (and those she could cause for others), if she does not change her ways. But to suggest that promiscuity would/must spread as an infection across the lives of ALL others, is just foolish to assume.

I'm a gay man for example. I could have had "sex" MANY more times than I did, but as an individual I did not choose to have sex every time I could; I knew that is wasn't prudent or of the proper character. Not that I'm some self-controlled "angel"... but that I and others can and do think for themselves. I'm willing to bet that because of the nature of the internet, if the story this thread is based upon is 100% true... that girl's friends, relatives of others have given her some heavy 'feedback' on how stupid and inappropriate she was concerning the whole thing.

Look... a society (of human beings) is going to have its problems; and there will always be those who lean toward solving them. But please, we are never going to have a trouble-free or sinless existence as HUMAN beings.

Earth is not "Heaven"... but we can work to make it better.

Somewhere between the two extremes. It may be a new version of shallow immature behavior by teenagers, but being surprised by shallow immature behavior by teenagers is dumb. Social media plays a big role in the lives of many teenagers, so this is just a new version of an old phenomena (sleeping with the high school quarterback or the guy who got his name in the paper)
