Fact remains:
If you're unhappy that CA and WY have the same number of senators, then your solution is to break CA up into 5-6 smaller states.
Just be sure to not gerrymander those states so as to not gain a political advantage for the Blue team - else, you'll have to call yourself out on your hypocrisy.
