I will not argue with you. I think that any media publishes "hot information". (We have all seen the "chemical weapons of Saddam Hussein" that all the national media promised us. (I have not seen this in Zero Hedge) )But in this particular case, is Zero Hedge lying?

In this particular story, now that I look at it, it doesn't seem so. It's a very short piece that doesn't rail against capitalism or whatever else the way you were doing in your OP, and it cites good external sources.

It has a huge pro-Russian bias, though. I see a link to one such story while looking at this story, in fact:
    https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2021-04-17/one-man-stands-way-natos-run-onward-moscow

    Another example: https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/putins-ukrainian-judo

Looks like ZH does all right on most other topics, but there's some insane pro-Russian, anti-NATO bias to it.

I looked at your links. But I'm surprised by your reaction. What do you see as "pro-Russian"?
The article describes a real situation. What's wrong with that?
For example NATO. NATO promised not to expand eastward? They promised. Broke your promise? They violated. And I don't understand your position. Did you really think that the Russians would put up with this?
Or the situation in Ukraine. What's wrong with that? Are the current authorities and the rabid Ukrainian fascists killing Russians? They kill. But maybe you thought the Russians would put up with it?
For example, if someone kills your relatives, will you calmly look at it?
However, this conversation is for a separate topic.
We're talking about Texas and electricity prices. And you agree that ZH don't lie.
The question is not who published the information, the question is the information and actions of the authorities.

You're as biased as ZH or joking. Either way, as I said initially, it's fitting that you, a Russian, would post stories from such a site.

As for Texas, you've made it some kind of silly attack on capitalism rather than an examination of the real situation. Texas has opted to operate its own power grid, and with that come unique challenges.

    1) So own the company outright - no shareholders.

    2) So own the company outright - no shareholders.

    3) Yet plenty of smaller companies are doing pretty well operating ethically. Why aren't you adding to their numbers? Be the change etc?

    4) Crippling capitalism as we know it, via rules and regs antithetical to both freedom and the pursuit of profit, will not serve the best interests of society. More importantly, it already DOES serve the best interests of society as a whole. A capitalist democracy is the only framework in which we have both freedom of choice, and reward for our effort. It's the only framework in which we all get to choose whether we will be rich or poor. Wherein even the lowest born can reach the stars via nothing but the sheer effort of will. It's the ultimate in equality and justice.

Just to clarify - I'm a socialist greenie. I totally get your motivations, and agree that the planet is going to be ****ed if nothing is done about spastic manufacturing. I just don't agree (at all) with your preferred method of achieving that end. I see all our problems stemming from us - we the people. It's us who lust for and enable corporatism and profiteering at the expense of the environment etc, in every decision we make. Ergo all change must come from us - from the ground up. Going totalitarian won't save us, because as soon as you dictate anything like 'redistribution' you have abandoned equality and justice. And attempting a bastardised state socialism will end all that's good about First World democracies - keeping in mind I say that as a socialist.

In Texas, this situation is solely because Texas has a capitalist political and economic system. The same cannibalistic as in the rest of the USA (In Russia, by the way, there is also capitalism. Therefore, in Russia the same cannibalistic political and economic system as in the USA)

It would appear that TEXAS is not practicing capitalism by allowing it's electric UTILITY to be under full singular authority rule not permitting competition. In effect they allow a monopoly. Basically saying screw the consumer.

Just curious, have they used the closed Goodyear plant there for anything? It was actually not too old when they shut it down, and I sometimes wonder what happened to it.
