Did Zuckerberg also do this in 2016 when trump couldn’t even get more votes than the much despised Clinton?

Since the right’s own policy has come full circle and they no longer like money in politics can we try and fix this issue?

    And
Yea DUH about the fraudulent attempts to smear him as a Russian spy up to eyeballs in Russian collusion to turn voters against him. People falsely accused hate to be falsely accused by the losers because they are the winners.

I recently got wind of this myself.
Thing with Democrats is the cheating was by mail. They could simply blanket mail to voters and include the list of who to vote for.
Fools will do as told far too often.

Please explain how Citizens United is comparable to this, do you even know what Citizens United said?

And then what should do to stop Zuckerberg from buying up all the polling places and putting his people in charge of our elections?

This time the Cheating democrats actually used the electoral system and now you know why Biden hid in his basement knowing he was going to win.

This was David Copperfield magic how Trump was winning huge and went to bed to wake up and he lost. Amazing voters for Biden to do it all at night.

Yes, hidden donation money to bribe politicians is free speech.
Money is money and it corrupts when used to bribe.

Yes I URGE everyone to read the entire article before commenting. It is very detailed and sourced. The entire book is next on my list to read.

This needs to be addressed and should be done at the Congressional level so all states can be involved. Then be it state laws or a federal, this has to be stopped. Elections should not be contracted out to the highest bidder who then controls the process.

How did CU make hidden money to bribe politicians. The money from a corporation cannot go to a candidate, only in support of issues. Do you not believe people have a right to support issues and to freely assemble to do so?

And again what is this comparison you are trying to make with this Zuckerberg scheme to control polling places and the polling process? He wasn't putting ads up like what CU is about, you know free speech.

I believe you want to believe that. But do you recall who was winning at midnight election day? It was Trump blowing Biden out of the water. Then when it got night, suddenly all of Biden's problems were cured and like David Copperfield performs, why Biden caught up and passed Trump. And you knew it smelled rotten all along.

A 5-4 majority of the Supreme Court sided with Citizens United, ruling that corporations and other outside groups can spend unlimited money on elections.

What was the rationale for the ruling?
In the court’s opinion, Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote that limiting “independent political spending” from corporations and other groups violates the First Amendment right to free speech. The justices who voted with the majority assumed that independent spending cannot be corrupt and that the spending would be transparent, but both assumptions have proven to be incorrect.

Money corrupts. More money, more corruption. That's been forever.

trump was winning “huge” because many states did not allow counting of ballots sent absentee or received during early voting.

Both groups easily went to Biden while Election Day voters went to trump.

I thought this was common knowledge at this point?

Your answer is in the article.

This is not election spending in the traditional sense.
    Read the article.

I signed up for the information as well. This really confirms a lot I was able to collect over time. I kept wondering, how the hell could Trump have staggering leads at midnight to have the leads vanish by dawn and favor Biden?
It made no sense at all.

I agree, not in the traditional sense. But just as legal.

Both should be allowed or both illegal.

I prefer illegal. Money is destroying the system for us voters. But it's great for those incumbents.

That question can be resolved later after the current issue is resolved.
Democrats sure do not like being accused. All they do is accuse others and when turned around hate it done to them.

Spend more on what? What Zuckerberg blew hundreds of millions on or on ads? He was not advertising,. He fixed a national election for his favorite kind of politician. I wager Zuckerberg spends many a nights sleeping in the Lincoln Bedroom at the White house. He paid the rent and more.

Which is exactly what CU was all about.

    ...
A conservative nonprofit group called Citizens United challenged campaign finance rules after the FEC stopped it from promoting and airing a film criticizing presidential candidate Hillary Clinton too close to the presidential primaries.

A 5-4 majority of the Supreme Court sided with Citizens United, ruling that corporations and other outside groups can spend unlimited money on elections.
In the immediate aftermath of the Citizens United decision, analysts focused much of their attention on how the Supreme Court designated corporate spending on elections as free speech. But perhaps the most significant outcomes of Citizens United have been the creation of super PACs, which empower the wealthiest donors, and the expansion of dark money through shadowy nonprofits that don’t disclose their donors.

Is it? I think that needs to be looked into.

Why do oppose groups of people expressing themselves on political issues which is what CU guaranties?

IN SUPPORT OF AN ISSUE.....................that's NOT what Zuckerberg was doing, he was interfering in the election PROCESS.

YES we have FREE SPEECH, you can buy as many ads as you want and we saw PLENTY of that on the left the last few elections. You can produce videos supporting your causes and pay stations to run them. Why are you opposed to people having their free speech?

I hvaen't said it is illegal but I would like to see some states look into their own laws and see if it was legal to contract out those election services under the control of someone who bought their way into that position and if it WAS legal then make sure to pass laws which make it otherwise. You disagree with that?

What exactly is your dispute? Where does the Constitution say you have the right to free speech and free assembly IF you make it public knowledge. We have secret ballots for reason too ya know if that is your beef.
