Why can't the EU work?
Because they don't speak English.
They speak French and German and Dutch and Spanish and Italian and Portuguese and English (Ireland) and Greek and Romianian and Polish and everything else...
If they all spoke English, trust me, it would work a lot better. But they don't so it's doomed to fail.

It might not be perfect, but the English system is the best.
Laws & Freedoms, language, economic systems, just seem to work EU.
Why not have an EU that's big and speaks English like a USA in Europe?
Because they're stupid, proud and their pride won't let them see the way forward.
Hell, we're even speaking English on this forum.

Trust me, my way has freedom of speech and my way has representation and democracy.

I look at Europe, and all I see is tyrants in Spain, republics in France suppressing minorities - when the majority has the right; and freedom of speech in Germany being unheard of, even on Facebook!..

 

For all of it's faults, the Anglosphere has some of the best run countries in the world. There is a lesson there.

 

Germany are the equivalent of defecating in a hole in the ground in their mud huts compared to the British democracy and the English language.

The EU could adopt English and the Anglo system, but their pride makes it like bongo bongo land.

USA has 2 things the EU does not;
A common language and freedom of speech.

The EU are like children wanting what America has without doing any of the work.
Trying for 200 years of history in 20.

 

and the UK paid for it.

Spain, was built with UK money to bring Spain up to code.

Now look at them with Catalonia.

 

The only crap like the EU in the Anglo world is in Africa.

Corruption and suppression of democracy and freedom of speech.

 

Catalonia's response from the EU just solidify that the EU are no better than the third world.

In Britain, the rights of minorities protects wearing burqas in the UK.
In France, the majority gets offended so snatches burqas off by law because France banned the burqa.
They used the covering of the face and the majorities will to justify this stopping women from wearing burqas.
Because the majority doesn't like it, thinks it's outdated, thinks it's demeaning, the minority have to comply.

 

The Anglo system isn't perfect, but it's the best.

It's democratic.
It's protective of minorities guarding the safe haven of the oppressed.
It's language could be used to unite the EU and it's laws and systems could help the EU, and give Europeans like Americans the vote from this system.

But instead, what have you got?
The EU parliament and your precious languages claiming you have no borders.
You don't vote for the President of the EU and the President of France can do whatever they want like in Ireland and Luxembourg and the EU will undermine this if displeased.

The Muslim - Turkey, The Middle East, Africa, Asia
The Soviet - Russia, probably parts of Scandinavia,
The Tribal - There are tribes everywhere in the world. Be it the bush, the jungle, the this that or the other where ever living the tribal way.
The French - Haiti, Mauritius, A part of Canada etc Vs. USA, Australia and the rest of Canada etc.
The German - not big looking to be bigger and make everyone work for Germany by hook or crook.
The Spanish; Venezuela, Ecuador, Cuba, Mexico, Spain (this week)!
Indian - Dowry, it's a democracy but it's also it's own thing, I think the culture of the Dowry is what stands out (for me) about the Indian system.

Why is the Anglo sphere the best?
We lack fascism, socialism and tribal based economy and forcing others to be British or have dowries (sorry India)... But if anybody needed to save the EU, to make the EU work, it'll have to be an English speaking $ having country in Europe.

Europe, forget the languages, forget the Euro...
Speak English, have a $, have the same rights and laws and then we can talk.

It's not we share a common language we have the same laws and mentality.

Even the muslim system is quiete diverse, their is few common points between the way Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are organized.

If they were a system I would admire, it would be the swiss one. Being able to make co exist three different people for centuries is quite exceptionnal, furthermore their direct democracy is rather efficient.

The golden moments of the anglo system are dead, the golden hours of UK died at the same moment than France in the fifties, and the USA are far to be down, but they're not at the top of their shape. We're not in the fifties anymore, their is still some good opportunities if you work in the high tech or very specific domains, but the american dream don't make people dream that much in the rest of the world. I don't speak by the way of third world countries.

Countries were founded on English law.

Even the Mayflower Pact when they settled in New England.

Jamaica and USA, different economies.
Both use corporal punishment.

Both are their own countries.

The EU, is not a country.
It's money is being played with in a gross way (and it's my country's money too, we paid in too).
Parts of it want to break off (UK), regions want to become countries, and no body votes for the EU president.
I dare say Jamaicans have more democracy than the EU.

Problems that should be fixed if you had the Anglo system like USA.
