If Reagan were a candidate for president today and he had made his statement about illegals who had been here deserving the right to remain here, he wouldn't make it out of the first primary.

did you understand that my comment was made in reply to one of your cohorts who said that a Reaganesque 1984 landslide could happen again if the GOP nominated another conservative candidate like HIM?

Let's not forget the extra added bonus of a significant ding on disposable incomes throughout the middle class, thanks to ObamaScare.

He's going to hit the voters right where it counts - in the pocketbook.

    Always a winning strategy. Always.

    (snicker)...

The Democrats are dead, the Republicans are dead, the Democrats are dead. The wheel turns. The American people haven't liked the party in power for decades and decades and the rate of change is increasing. Will be no different this time.

The Right in their post-2014 midterm giddiness....

has forgotten that most of those Senate wins they got....were in states that Romney won.

Nationally, turnout was the worst this year in a midterm election since 1942, which was a message from the base that the President needed to grow a pair and smack down some GOP and Democratic candidates needed to run as Democrats and not run away from the policies and successes of the POTUS. The right wing base actually believes that they have become the popular girl at the dance, when all along they're were the only girl that showed up at the dance. Also comparing mid-term elections to national elections is akin to comparing Arbor Day to The 4th of July...but no one ever can accuse a radical right winger of being very astute.

It's highly amusing, but at the same time, difficult to decide whether to sit back and laugh at them or simply put them on ignore. Some of the stuff they spew is genuinely chokeworthy.

is it highly amusing for you to contemplate defending 24 senate seats to only 10 for the democrats in 2016?

So why didn't the Democrat girls show up at the dance? Was it because they already knew that the Republican girls were the better looking of the lot?

Hilarious thread. The Blue Wall is full of holes, but so are leftist heads so it's a good match.

    ROFLMAO

P.S. Republicans swept the midterms. The only thing different we can count on between now and 2016 are rising costs for Obamacare... which means Dems will be twice as unpopular then as they are now.

    Dream on.

And yet not one right winger in denial has posted an intelligible or succinct data backed retort. Why is that? All I've been seeing are posts that sound as if they have been written by junior high school kids.

Tea Party/Religious right same issue. I do not think there is much of a chance the GOP giving up on its desire to force religious beliefs on others so the Dems are probably safe for another term in the Whitehouse.

Will they be able to get anything done ? That is one question. Are the Dems good for America ... I think not.

I am a democrat. Fellow democrats and I refer to ourselves as "we" when we are speaking of the collective group. The "you" in that sentence was plural as well, referring to "you republicans".

I kinda suspected that you were smart enough to figure that out.... but maybe I have misjudged you.

Don't you get that referring to a "we" factor makes you a Communist Socialist? People on the right are primarily about I, Me, Mine.

and tax day. and kid's wedding days... and kid's law school graduation days....

every day, actually. I'd live in the US full time if I could find a place with a nice warm climate near the east coast that wasn't infested with racists, republicans, and rednecks.... and I realize there are some subset unions going on there.
