I highly doubt that you really are Polish, otherwise you'd be just as offended as the rest of the Polacks are at the U.S. President telling the rest of the world that Poland had death camps of its own.

That being said, if polaks call themselves polaks, then why can't English-speaking Polaks call themselves Polacks? Does the extra letter really bother you that much, my "Polish" friend?

Do the Polish claim ownership to the death camp though? Since the White House was forced to publically "regret" Obama acting stupidly in Poland the other day, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the answer is "no".

 

Yes, it could mean many things and if you just emerged from a cave and didn't know the history of WW2 and the Nazis this cover might fly. Most people aren't so deceitful or stupid, however. Any way you slice it, calling a Third Reich concentration and extermanation camp "Polish" is a huge gaffe and quite insulting.
